Tartarus' finest regiment of the Astra Militarum

The 37th Tartarus Planetary Defence Force Regiment is the finest Imperial Guard regiment to have been raised on the planet of Tartarus, the largest and most populated planet of the Tartarus System within the Segmentum Obscurus. Established during the Imperial recolonisation of Tartarus, the 37th Tartarus Regiment primarily saw action in 999 of the 41st millenium when the regiment participated in the defence of Tartarus from an Ork WAAAGH. The 37th's most notable engagement was the defence of the spaceport in the large city of Magna Bonum. Following the arrival of reinforcements from the 3rd and 4th companies of the Blood Ravens Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes, the 37th Tartarus Regiment, under the steadfast leadership of its commander Colonel Brom, assisted the Blood Ravens in driving the Ork invaders out of Magna Bonum and recapturing the spaceport.

Following Tartarus' impending consumption by a large warpstorm, the remainders of the 37th, including its commander, were able to flee the planet to safety.
