Exciting new animu season! Fall 2011

Ok, after a lackluster season in which only nichijou and natsume 3 were worth watching (and maybe hanasaka), we have a good season \o/

list of good-seeming animu:

The following look promising to me:

Nichijou (KyoAni)
Hen Zemi (XEBEC)
Maria+Holic: Alive (SHAFT)
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko (SHAFT)
A Channel (Studio Gokumi)
Hidan no Aria (JC Staff)
maybe Toriko (Toei Animation)

This season looks very promising, and even includes some very unusual themes, such as the adaptation of the yaoi manga, Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi. It looks like the success of K-On has allowed KyoAni to recover from the Haruhi season 2 and its association with the ever-hated Aya Hirano. JC staff appears to be going for another rom-com which, sadly, sounds like it's going to be another Ookami-san. At least this time they're drawing on the excellent 'girls with guns' premise. Unusually, we get a sequel from SHAFT.

Well, I guess I'll take my leave from here. I really miss the old days where we were all Lucky Star characters playing L4D and TF2, but oh well, those are memories now. Thanks for keeping me entertained during those times, guys.
