29th Infantry Division, Easy Company, Third Platoon

This week's Player of the Week is Private, First Class Dewey. Dewey's actions during EP3's Platoon Drill earned him this honor. During the United States' defense over Refinery, PFC Dewey was operating a M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Unbeknownst to them, an enemy Sapper was able to breach their defensive line of the Refinery Compound. The Sapper slowly crept towards the Bradley, IED in hand. Once reaching the vehicle, the Sapper laid his IED. Luckily for the vehicle crew, PFC Dewey heard the IED being placed. Thanks to his quick thinking, Dewey exited the vehicle to eliminate the threat. While he was exiting, the driver could distinctly hear Dewey's screams of "'IED, IED, IED!!!!'". The driver quickly put the Bradley into gear and advanced forward to survive the IED blast. Unfortunately for PFC Dewey, he was not as lucky. As he was exiting the vehicle, the Sapper was already phoning in the IED charge. Dewey managed to discharge several rounds into the back of the Sapper, effectively killing him. However, as the Sapper fell to the ground, the IED received the trigger signal and exploded. The blast sent Dewey flying off the shipping dock and into the nearby river. His body was never recovered. Due to his heroic actions, PFC Dewey has rightfully earned Player of the Week for EP3!
