Operation Xerxes - Brief

The situation in Thailand has changed for the worse. The North Korean army has be hit hard by the 26 Kommando and has now resorted to pushing armoured units into the area. The US army has moved into the AO to support the Thai forces to repel the NKA invasion. Since we are special forces and do not use armour we have been withdrawn from the AO to do a Op in relation to our role in Iran.

Iran has now sided with Russia and North Korea, their aim as per normal is to unstablise the region, defeat pontental weaken enemies and expand their borders.

Intel from the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND) and MI6 suggests that the Iranian goverment intends to invade the weakened Iraqi state, move on down to Kuwait then 'it is believed' mount a assualt on the Kingdon of Saudi Arabia.
Our situation

We 26 Kommando have be tasked to deploy just to the west of the Rabat area. It is believed to be one of the launching points for the invasion and currently a staging area. Our satellite intelligence suggests there is atleast 1 Armoured battilion and 2 motorised infantry battilions consisting of the 40th infantry brigade in our AO, they have determined that within our AO there is camouflaged fuel dumps enought to supply a armoured brigade for 3-4 weeks of combat. Also satellite heat imagery has determained there has been fast aircraft movement on the military airfield to the south west of the AO, intel reports from other sources suggest there is a great deal of AA emplacements covering the staging areas with brand new Russian AA missile arrangements.


26 kommando has been tasked to disrupt the Iranian staging area. We are to expect to come across supply convoys, tank parks, troop assembly areas and fuel dumps. So we have been tasked to disrupt and intercede the build up of enemy forces.

We have also have been tasked to recce the enemy units and orbat and find intel about the up and coming invasion.


We are to paradrop into the AO we can not heli in as intel from other units have suggested that there is a high number of AA/AAA positions covering the staging areas, We are to located the Patrol base (Beckenbauer) that has been setup and supplied by the SAS in preparation to our mission and operate from that location. PB Beckenbauer is located east of the main Iranian airbase. Since this is a covert patrol base we need to have strict battle discipline. This includes no light/noise at night, no firing of weapons and no use of lzrs.

We have no vehicles, no air cover apart from high level bombers. Our only method if supply is via the local rebels or other SF units operating in the area.


The friendly forces in the area as local militia. They have no hightech weaponry and very low organisation and morale due to the crackdown by local troops on orders of Rouhani. They may help us if we seem like we are helping their cause (bringing down the goverment)

Other SF. The SAS dropped the supplies to the PB but now have moved down to southern Iraq so out of our AO. US Delta are believed to be in Pakistan doing the same task as us on Irans eastern border.
