Back when I started playing in 2022, the game was incredible. I especially loved when the newspaper had images, and there were no hero units or country names cluttering the map. Back then, you could change your flag, your country’s name, and your leader’s name... you could comfortably roleplay as anime characters and shake up the entire match (those who know, know).

However, over time... first came the heroes. That was the first warning sign. The game slowly started turning into a "pay-to-win" dump, but it more or less held together thanks to the unique feature of newspaper avatars. But when they removed the avatars... I decided to leave. They took away the game's crown jewel, and now that spark is completely gone. (Yes, the newspaper is still there, but it’s just not the same, and the player base has changed, too).

I’m grateful for the warm memories of those long RP threads in the newspaper. At the same time, I’m sad that such a great product was ruined and will never be what it once was. The "Anime Era" is over (along with the avatars); the new generation of players doesn't know us because we’ve become the history of the RU servers.

Regardless, I gained a lot of experience writing short storylines for various states, and I still enjoy doing that to this day. I’d be thrilled if someone created a game with the same newspaper mechanics we used to have.
