The style is evident of the game being a mobile port. I wouldn't care if it was remade in the way that the game takes all of the monitor, not only 1/3 (if there was something else on the sides, like inventory, skills, character page etc. then yes, but not just a black screen). Well at least i have found another game that could be fun on mobile and i will probably buy it there....
