is there a way increasing viewable screen size its so small?

Let me ask you a question. I now have about 50 hours on my savegame and have encountered exactly 100 UFOs. I've smoked out a few bases, etc. Now it feels like everything has come to a bit of a standstill. I haven't been able to research for a while and I've always captured lots of living aliens after battles, but none of them can be interrogated. Is this normal, or do I have a research bug? By the way, I use “OpenXcom” to play. At the moment I have no option to research or rebuild alien submarines, but...

I enjoy the series but do we think firaxis would remake TFTD or turn it into a xcom 3 with underground lovecraftian horror monsters? Do ppl enjoy this game what about it is fun? Looked at a bunch of different guides for installing the mod, but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do. Open xcom and open xcom extended didn't create a mod folder after running them. And the current version of the mod I downloaded dosen't have the installer so can't use that please help....
