when I try playing custom maps in SMR (from https://archive.org/download/sid-meiers-railroads-custom-maps-collection) they crash with a runtime C++ error. are there custom maps that can be used with the steam SMR, if so where would find them. The above link does not work for the steam version and may only be for the original game Or I may need to do something to be able to have the steam version run them....

this game constally crashes when playing never know when it happens why cant steam fix the bugs im not a teckie guy ???

Wow! Since Win 10, this game was just unplayable and I had lost hope of ever playing again. I switched to Linux full time a month ago (Unbuntu 24.04.3 LTS) from Win 11, and I am trying old games and surprise surprise, old games are now playable like this one!!...
