It's fairly ok start for series. Art style especially for the era is really nice and I appreciated voice overs, music etc. Plot specially from the start is very interesting. Bit eccentric towards the end, but overall I'd say good.

But game does have flaws. It's the moon logic and before I forget to mention. If you play this, you need to look and interact with items, obviously, but if it doesn't work, you need to talk to people or get another item and all of the sudden you can interact with something that wasn't possible few minutes ago. Like for instance there is museum at one chapter. I roamed around and in one room I meticulously inspected everything there was and protagonist answered like "Hmmm there isn't anything interesting there". Then later near chapters end you need to do seemingly trivial thing and I struggled and pixel hunted every screen and forfeited and thought screw this, let's see walkthrough. Turned out that "there isn't anything interesting" now had turn into roughly "Oh nice, there is X inside". Like what the hell? This is the most annoying thing in adventure game and RRA delivers on this front, you REALLY need to be aware of this bullshittery. Plus there are couple insanely annoying characters.

It's not even close to flawless title and as mentioned I definitely needed walkthrough. But overall quite good. Not quite as good as ie. Secret Files series start imho.

Maybe 7.5 - 8 out of 10. Way better than sequel "Dream of the turtle" no one should touch.

Btw. Played through this on Linux and didn't encounter any issues at all.
