✅ A decent derby racing game (more realistic than what the sequels later became).
✅ Cool minigames (derby, races, and various “launch your character at a target” activities).
✅ Tunable vehicles.
✅ A decent music selection.
✅ Achievements (I highly recommend using guides for the bonus games).

❌ Some physics are very wonky... For example, a wooden plank can launch your car into space...
❌ You can only keep one car at a time.

FlatOut is an absolute masterpiece among racing games. There are very few games like it on the market. It’s a true hell yeah racing game with loud music, total destruction, and constant ramming as everyone tries to knock each other off the track.

The game feels almost perfect, with one important exception: Dart mode. You are supposed to launch the driver into a dartboard, but this mode is completely broken. You hit the target and get zero points, while missing badly can somehow give you 40, 50, or 60 points. It makes no sense.

Honestly, it would’ve been better to remove this mode entirely than to leave it in such a broken state. About 90% of the game is pure fun, and the remaining 10% is this frustrating Dart mode.

I still recommend the game, but do yourself a favor and never play Dart mode, it’s not worth the nerves.

God tier classic arcade racer made even more god tier by ZOOM's efforts and putting achievements into the game. Love this game and hope ZOOM does this for more classics in the future.
