I have been trying different versions of proton to try and fix this issue, but no matter what I do, I keep having issues where in the middle of watching a scene (specifically the one surrounding the elevator) the video playback freezes, and apparently the built-in save points are so few and far between that when resetting the game it takes you all the way back to the beginning of that sequence, even though the freezing happens a good 10 minutes into that sequence. I was really impressed with this game and the ability to make choices throughout - I know a lot of people are recommending some changes (i.e. way to fast forward or skip scenes). I think it would add a lot of value if we didn't have to play through the entire movie just to see the different endings..I died WAY sooner then I expected..lol...

Look, the cinematography and the production quality of the FMV is really high, the acting is good, the effects are solid. It's beautifully shot. Unfortunately the key thing that makes a movie or game like this enjoyable is the writing. The writing is abysmal and highly contrived.
