so ive played this before, a long time ago. but now its like i cant do anything. ive clicked on everything, talked to everyone, looked at everything on nancys phone. called everyone and most of them are "not avilable at this time". im supposed to ask shorty for chores but when i talk to him i only get "sorry for bothering you, good bye". ive even checked walkthoughs and for some reason i just cant continue all of a sudden. im gonna start over tomorrow and see if i can get anywhere past my current stuck pos...

I'm really stumped, I'm stuck on day 2 with nothing else to do as ive done everything I can and exhausted all conversations but it won't progress into night time. So I tried all the steps in 'Crash to Desktop *FIX* and nothing is working I even tried what another player suggested later on and it still says I need to install directX to play it. Don't know what to do as I don't want to install them since their REALLY old at this point I think? Not sure what to do aside from trying dosbox again which I couldn't figure out to save my soul.
