The HarvestCo. Demo is now live on Steam, and I have just released a major demo update ahead of Steam Next Fest.

HarvestCo. is a farming incremental idle game where a small field gradually turns into an increasingly efficient money-making machine. Harvest crops, buy upgrades, unlock passive income, automate production, discover rare golden crops, and deal with strange field events like UFOs.

This update focuses on making the demo clearer, better paced, more readable, and more satisfying to play from start to finish. The biggest goal was to improve the first impression: slower and more meaningful early progression, a smoother later section, clearer rewards, better upgrade visibility, and a more focused demo length.

• Improved gameplay balance and progression pacing

• Slowed down the very early progression so the first upgrades have more weight

• Smoothed out the later part of the demo to avoid the experience dragging for too long

• Adjusted the demo length to create a stronger and more focused first impression

• Improved upgrade progression and fixed some upgrade effects that were not working correctly

• Improved the upgrade tree readability

• Locked upgrades in the demo now use lock icons, making it clearer what is available and what belongs to later progression

• Improved visibility of available upgrades with a pulsing green arrow near the upgrade tree button

• Improved visibility of dropped coins, chest rewards, UFO reward coins, and bonuses

• Improved chest opening effects

• Improved scythe animation

• Added hit effects when clicking the UFO

• Improved some tutorial situations, including giving players more time to react during the first UFO event

• Reduced excessive coin sounds when many coins are collected at once

• Adjusted default audio levels on first launch to avoid overly loud sound

• Improved wishlist buttons in the menu and in-game UI

• Added pulsing effects to wishlist buttons

• Added an extra confirmation window when starting a new game while another save already exists

• Improved and fixed the save system

• Fixed input hints appearing behind other UI elements

• Fixed a small bug that caused chests to drop too often from destroyed rocks

• Improved and added missing resource translations

• Added additional polish, fixes, and small quality-of-life improvements

Because the save system was improved in this update, saves from the previous demo build are not compatible with the new version. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but this change should make the demo more stable and safer going forward.

Thank you to everyone who has already tried the demo, shared feedback, or wishlisted the game. The early feedback helped me focus this update on the parts that mattered most: pacing, clarity, progression, rewards, and the overall feel of the demo.
