The game always crashed for me when playing longer videos such as the intro and the scene with the crow at the park. Compatability mode, also the NT4SP5 one, didn't help. This is technically more a workaround, but at least it allows you to play the game:. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Still Life\Data\Video\CIN\A1_PARK (or whereever you installed the game). There is a large file CIN56065-01.bik and a small one CI56050-01.bik.
