A beautiful game to chill after a long day with soothing lo-fi beats and a cozy atmosphere the vibe is incredibly chill and beautiful

Steam needs an "Ambivalent" recommendation option between "Yes" and "No."

Really trying my best to consider the Early Access status of this game, but it feels so bare-bones at the moment that I don't have anything to recommend, other than the expected cute visuals and lofi music. While the game is on discount at the time of writing, I don't feel like I gained anything from buying it. The marketing is very confusing as well.

1- The UI and previews make it seem like another cozy productivity "game" where you can customize your surroundings, chill to some music, and journal / send letters / play minigames on the side.

2- The description on the store page makes it sound like a journaling app with a nice background and soundtrack.

Right now, this app feels like #2, while trying to hint vaguely at #1. Steam recommended it next to other titles like Spirit City and Virtual Cottage, so I couldn't help but feel misled when I opened this game and saw very few similarities, and a lot of user-unfriendly aspects:

• None of the menu / sidebar icons are labeled, and some serve no purpose. You can tell what they're for after a few clicks, but you shouldn't have to! A tooltip when you hover over each icon would vastly improve this. And some of the menu options just take up space; the stats icon shows a "player level" that isn't mentioned anywhere else, the day/night mode icon can't be clicked, the notes function only lets you send one every few minutes, and those you receive are just inane greetings.
  
• There is almost no text ANYWHERE. I understand minimalism, but some text guides for the minigames, or even some titles/quotes for the book "achievements," would make this app feel like more than a collection of pretty clipart. Even the minigame instructions are just tiny pictures, only accessible through the main menu, not from the minigame window itself.......
  
• There is no room customization. You get a limited number of preset room layouts that might not be to your liking, but you're stuck with them. All you can do is click the palette icon to flip between the presets. I'm assuming this will be changed later on (I hope)... The listing did mention "A Room That's Entirely Yours" after all...
  
• No option to change between day or night. If you're a night shifter like me, you are eternally stuck in Night Mode. The game remains in an annoying grayed-out tint forever. The icon for said mode is available but clicking on it does nothing.
  
• You can't see what song or playlist is active. You can only click the radio button repeatedly and hope for a suitable track to come up, if you don't like the current one.
  
• The "interactions" aren't really interactive. Your cat and plant are static images that you can only view by clicking a menu button and then a "feed" or "water" or "pet" button. There are no animations aside from the background/room shifting with your mouse.

tl;dr this game really lacks a lot of QOL features that would make it worth sticking with even in Early Access mode. There are only so many journal entries I could produce in a day, and beyond that, this app is just an animated wallpaper with a limited (and unidentified) selection of music.

I wouldn't be posting such a review if there was a better roadmap of what the full version would look like, but at the moment, there seems to be no clear vision or direction. On another note, while looking at the positive reviews that led me to buy this in the first place, I noticed a fair number of them seem to be the developer's Steam friends or single-review private accounts, and their comments often give a false sense of what to expect from this app.
