Added the Image Size feature, which lets you resize the entire canvas image.

In RGBA color mode, options such as linear interpolation are also supported.

You can open it from "Image Menu > Image Size".

Added presets to the Grid Settings dialog.

By saving frequently used grid settings, you can easily switch between them whenever needed.

The presets configured here can also be selected directly from the menu. Only the first 20 presets are shown in the menu.

Added a feature for reordering presets in dialogs.

You can use it from the reorder button next to the preset feature.

Added the "Set as Default" feature to the following settings.

These values will be used when creating a new image and in other similar cases.

Added scrub playback to the Layer Panel and Sprite Panel.

You can switch the active frame by dragging frames or cells left and right with the right mouse button. This is useful for checking animations.

Added a feature for filling the selection with the main color.

You can use it from "Edit Menu > Fill".

Changed the initial color mode for "PNG Export" to "RGBA (Recommended)".
Also changed the initial color mode for "GIF Animation Export" to "Full Color to Indexed Color".
When an indexed color image combines a palette containing semi-transparent colors with layers, exporting with indexed colors prioritized may produce a result that differs significantly from the appearance in the editor.

For this reason, the default export settings have been changed to settings that are more likely to preserve the on-screen appearance.

• Adjusted the English version of Edge3 so that Japanese file names are not garbled.

• Adjusted the Japanese version of Edge3 so that menu labels are not garbled when running on an English OS.

• In the Text Tool, quick cancel operations can now also be performed when confirming with a left click.

• In the Stamp Tool and Text Tool, the frame is now hidden while dragging with the left mouse button, making it easier to check the appearance after placement.

• Fixed an issue where mouse cursor shapes in the app could become unintentionally enlarged depending on the DPI settings.

• An error alert saying "Access violation - no RTTI data!" may appear. The cause is currently under investigation. As an initial measure, the app has been adjusted so that it does not exit when the alert is displayed.

Toolbar customization and control order customization are now available for each panel.

For example, in the Color Palette panel, you can create a toolbar layout similar to EDGE2.

You can also gather frequently used features into the Color Palette panel, allowing many settings to be handled directly from that panel.

Panel-specific customization can be configured from the toolbar customization feature in each panel menu.

Example: Color Palette Panel Menu > View > Toolbar > Customize Toolbar

You can now switch between the Color Wheel and the HSL Color Map.

This can be changed from the right-click menu of the Color Wheel.

The RGB Value Picker dialog can now also display either the Color Wheel or the HSL Color Map.

The picker shown when double-clicking a color in the Color Palette panel has been changed from the standard Windows picker to a custom picker.

This allows you to adjust colors in the picker dialog while checking the result on the canvas.

When using selection tools, formulas can now be used in the text boxes for the selection position, size, and angle shown in the option bar.

Currently, this is supported only for the five text boxes related to the selection position, size, and angle.

Color palette import / export now supports the GIMP palette format ([c].gpl[/c]).

When downloading color palettes from sites such as Lospec, please use the “GIMP GPL” format.

The following commands have been added under “Main Color / Sub Color” in the Color Palette panel menu.

Assign shortcut keys as needed.

A new “Automatically switch layer” checkbox has been added to the option bar of the Eyedropper tool.

When this feature is enabled, the layer from which the color was picked becomes the active layer.

A new “Scale” dialog has been added.
It can be opened from Image Menu > Scale.

You can also change the width and height from the option bar, but this dialog is useful for operations such as quickly scaling an image to 5x.

The default value of “Clip Selection” has been changed from off to on.

This helps prevent cases where drawing or fill operations appear to affect areas outside the selection when a selection exists.

• When multiple layers are selected, the blue line indicating the active layer, which is the layer that will be drawn on with the pen, is now slightly thicker.

• Reorganized the Color Palette panel menu.

• Color palette gradients now apply vertically when exactly one column is selected vertically.

• Adjusted how often the Text tool re-renders the text image.

• In the settings for “Dashed Line” and “Step” in the Line tool, values of 0 or less are now ignored.

• Fixed an issue where, if multiple controls such as layer opacity controls were placed on a toolbar, changing one control might not update the other text boxes.

• Fixed an issue where buttons inside a modal dialog could not be pressed when the dialog was opened through the “…” button shown when toolbar buttons did not fit.

• Fixed an issue where the Sprite Frame panel used edit units, but did not have an edit unit settings button on its toolbar.

• Fixed an issue where canceling an operation while dragging a selection coordinate text box in the option bar up or down with the right mouse button might still apply the change to the canvas.

• Fixed an issue where the selected border, or marching ants display, might not be shown correctly when the canvas was zoomed out.

• Fixed an issue where add selection and related operations did not work correctly with the Magic Wand tool.

• Fixed an issue where changing the color mode of the Drop Shadow feature to options such as “Sub Color” was not reflected.
