Secret Level?

Hey all, I unlocked the secret level for the first time today! Is there a reliable method for unlocking this yet? I was playing as toaster oven, I believe it unlocked when I beat the second? boss of my playthrough, after I picked up a golden apple. I'm not sure which factors were in play to trigger it so I'm not sure about doing it again. But it would be very good to know for the future! It seems to warp you to the end of a playthrough too, eh? Could be bad for stocking up on powerups to prepare for...
