Hi everyone!

We've released our big content update for Chasing Whiskers which also means that the game is out of early access! We love that we got to make this game for all you cat lovers and we hope you'll enjoy this update and release.

With this update we've opened up the BIG CAT TREE as a playable area. Make your way up to the tree in search of your lost cat. There's also new story content for you all to expierence with new opening and closing cinematics.

We also couldn't leave the rest of the jungle empty so we added even more content like a hat shop and collectibles that are spread out all around the map.

The jungle will also become a bit more lively with the a new Firefly Cat, who will be flying around the cat tree leaving a well lit trail for you to avoid. The rest of our cats also got some love new cat variants were added from our discord event so take a look if your kitty made the cut. The cats have had their behaviours improved and can be suprised by grandma when she sneaks up on them. There also has been continous work behind the scenes on the navmesh so the cats no longer get stuck on world geometry.

We've also done some general envionmental updates like: a new reworked beach area, new art assets, updated water and even some waterfalls!

The game has also received some extra polish, grandma has improved animations and there's new achievements to unlock. We've also focused on optimisation so the game runs even better and bugfixing! Fixing things like: on start up 'load game' is now set correctly to 'start new game', fixed low quality shadows in areas, grandma no longer walks on water.

This update also marks the end of our academic year and the fulltime development on the project. While we'll still work on some smaller fixes and changes in the upcoming weeks, the game is content complete and will likely not be developed further.

We want to thank everyone so so so much for playing and following Chasing Whiskers! Seeing you all play the game and having fun has been a blast so far and we can't wait for you to experience the new cats and our new area.

• 'He rules with an Iron Paw' Is currently difficult to unlock due to low spawning rates of the iron paw cat. (This is currently worked on and will be fixed with an upcoming hotfix)

• Wide screen is not supported

• Minor collision issues surrounding the cat cafe

• Firefly cat animations can get stuck

• Ending animation cutscene is choppy (will be updated in the next few weeks0

• Pon Pon is frozen after ending cinematic

• Grandma can get stuck underneath bushes in the starting area

• First Cutscene plays wrong music

• Cutscene skip button displays the wrong UI Icon

• PC keys display when using an xbox controller (Controller support is still being polished)
