Hey everyone! Thanks so much to everyone tried out the demo and those who have reported an issue/bug, it’s really helpful!

Below is a list of updates I made in the latest version of the demo based on everyone’s feedback. If you submitted any additional feedback that I did not fix, I’m probably still working on it. If you encounter a bug from one of the below issues that should now be fixed, please report it again so I know it is still an issue. Thanks so much!

• Made character less floaty

• Adjusted a couple parkour levels

• Increased smoke grenade duration

• Decreased default parkour time to get to class

• Streamer-mode setting now syncs across clients based on the Host’s setting

• Banned additional names

• Enabling Class Clown items late in the round carried those items beyond the parkour

• When the last surviving player disconnected during parkour, round did not end until the timer ran out

• Players unable to continue after the quiz

• Fake Block was preventing Tungsten movement

• Players could get stuck in a corner between Tungsten and a wall

• FPS was dropping throughout the game when custom trivia upload was large

• Tungsten was not crushing clients, only the host.

• Player overlap prevented the correct player(s) from being ignited by laser

• Singleplayer grade selector highlight color issue

• Custom trivia upload button spelling issue

Q: Can you add more trivia?

A: The full game will have lots more trivia! The demo is just a trial of the game so you can test it out to see if you like it. 

Q: When will there be online lobbies? 

A: Unfortunately, I have no plans to add public lobbies anytime soon. The moderation is a bit overwhelming to me and I’d need to learn more about the technical aspects of doing public lobbies (especially to prevent cheating). I think an important aspect of the game is knowing your friend’s trivia knowledge and parkour ability, so I think the game is much better when played with people you know. Sorry if that’s disappointing to some of you :/

The full release of Stick Scholars is currently planned for early/mid July 2026. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this demo, which gives you a taste of what to expect from the full game.

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback during the public playtest. I really appreciated that. I’m still working on implementing some more of the suggestions. However, here are some of the changes already implemented:

• Wind strength was decreased substantially

• Player movement is slightly less slippery

• Added a setting for Streamer Mode (Hides lobby code)

• Added a game setting for Anonymous Voting

• Class Clown Items now stack if unused each round (Max of 3)

• Made the Parkour a bit easier overall

The demo contains a similar number of parkour levels and trivia questions as the playtest, but the full game will have much more! If you try out this demo and want to give feedback, you can submit feedback in-game in the options/settings menu. Thanks!
