Here is a list of frequently asked questions regarding the game's content. While it’s not required reading to enjoy the game, feel free to take a look if you're interested!

Q. The battle system is too simple / feels empty.

A. We made it simple on purpose.

▲ During development, the system was actually more complex, allowing players to customize and combine skills.

We want this game to first and foremost be a "no-brain-required, goofy game" where players just enjoy the chaotic, buzzing energy of the "GAYA (Live commentary) Voice".

We felt that the complexity of "the trial-and-error of choosing skill combinations" would actually get in the way of that. So, we intentionally omitted it. Please just turn your brain off, click away, and enjoy the absolute chaos of the voices!

Q. "GAYA (Live commentary) Voice" is too loud.

A. That chaotic energy is fully intentional.

The target vibe for the "GAYA (Live commentary) Voice" is: "You can't really make out most of it, but every now and then you catch a weird line and crack a smile."

If the voices were too clear, individual lines would start sticking out awkwardly. That's why we believe this current level of chaotic noise is (personally) the sweet spot.

Also, the voices aren’t just playing completely at random. They actually trigger based on what’s happening in battle—like when you attack, take damage, when a boss appears, or when you die.

Log files containing recorded game errors and other data are generated in the following folder:

Additionally, the following file is another type of log file:

C:\\Users\\\[Your_Username]\\AppData\\LocalLow\\HoRoyal\\HoRoyal\\Player.log

This Is A Good Idea, Just Not Good Enough Execution. Not Recommended 5/10

I'm guessing this is a solo project. I'm also gonna guess that developer Wai is a student or someone who does game development for a hobby. In either case, HoRoyal really does feel like a student project. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of playing your one or many Oshi's in a battle royal. I like that there some different skill sets. I like the idea that you can somewhat build the stats of your skills. But each of the things I mentioned are half-baked. All talents basically share the same skill kit, the aiming is automatic so you can't lock on to the target that you choose, you can only upgrade your skills to only +5% and no higher. There is only 1 battle map. The hub is just grassland with signposts.

It's not good. It's only functional. There isn't enough here to keep me entertain for 2 hours. Not even the achievements. But I don't want to discourage developer Wai. If this is his first game, it isn't bad, it's just not good (yet). If he keeps working with new ideas, or polish old ideas, he might have something in the future.

But for now, HoRoyal still some ways off from being recommended. 5/10

What's Good

Battle royale is a good idea.
The framework/foundation of the idea is definitely there.
Graphics, animation, sound, are okay.

What's Bad

No variety of skill kit between each talents. They all share the same ones.
There is only 1 battle map.
The hub is just grassland with signboards.
The combat has no depth. And you're dependent on your A.I. partners.
Game is too repetitive with no satisfying game loop.

If your PC language isn't set up to English, or Japanese, then the game won't be playable.

Tutorial-1 can't be finished, probably because the game can't detect that the enemies has been killed (But why does the language set up on the PC matter for that ? I have no idea)

Only solution the devs are giving ? Just change the language on your PC
