The Kingsward Demo is Now Available!

We invite everyone to try the demo and experience the beginning of The Kingsward. With approximately one hour of content, you'll be able to play through the game's prologue and get your first glimpse of the world and its challenges.

Features:
• Full controller support
• Fully playable on Steam Deck
• Keyboard and mouse support

As development is still ongoing, some features are not yet implemented, and you may encounter bugs or balance issues along the way.

Hi I’m currently played the Demo and came across a name that caught my attention. There’s a ring / summoned companion in the game called “Bimbo.” I understand that this is probably just a fantasy name within the game. At the same time, the word has a negative or offensive meaning in real life, depending on the language....

The Kingsward is Optimized for Steam Deck!

From day one of development, we've designed and optimized the game with the handheld console as a primary target. So yes, get ready to take this epic adventure anywhere!

What to Expect from Performance?

Smooth Gameplay: The game currently runs at a solid 60 FPS (with very rare exceptions) using graphical settings above the minimum.
Battery Saving: If you're planning longer play sessions, settings can be lowered further to maximize the console's battery life.
Total Control: 100% native controller support, including the correct UI icons for Steam Deck and alternative controllers (like PlayStation).

The demo is already compatible! We invite you to download and try it on your Deck right now (keep in mind that, as an in-development version, there might be a few minor bugs).

Demo Thoughts

I was impressed. It was fun to play with a fair amount of polish. I played with mouse/keyboard and focused on magic, switching to a staff as soon as I could. I typically play casters in rpgs and I enjoyed playing one in your game. The staff felt powerful, which felt good. I'm a little unsure about the spells. Fireball was pretty strong, but the cast time is long so it really only seemed useful for starting a fight. I didn't use it much because it was faster to hit a few times with the staff. I don't really have feedback to add that hasn't already been said except that I think there should be a gear comparison function so you can tell the stats between your equipped vs inventory gear.

Does the Ressources (Veins/Plants/etc) Respawn?

Hey, Just asking, i'm trying to mix/max and the RNG for Upgrade and enchanting is against me and i need tons of Materials, and farming those Ressources Nods is a good source for Mats. Cheers!

Couldnt reselect passives

Once i unlocked passive and applied it was stuck on and couldnt select a second one or change it out. Game seems cool so far i would probably play on release. A little low optimizaton, requires very high end graphics for the level of graphics and experience it is. My computer is a bit older but cant run it that smoothly ~ 45fps only 4k....
