Some players have asked what happens after the ending of Drink.

Six months have passed since the game ended with the line:

“It’s me.”

The story continues.

I’ve written a novel called Sober that takes place six months after the events of the game. The book alternates between the perspectives of Drink and Sober, following their separate lives as they move forward in the same city.

Drink is living in a rented room and working a routine job.

Across the city, Sober works long shifts in a pharmacy where the days are predictable and the shelves are always full.

The world continues around them.

Sometimes the past appears in small ways.

A familiar street.

A remembered name.

A moment that refuses to stay quiet.

The book keeps the same restrained tone as the game, small moments, minimal dialogue, and a world that moves on whether the characters are ready or not.
