At Vortexon Studios, we are working tirelessly to take the Market is Fine experience to the next level. While modernizing the game's technical infrastructure over the past few weeks, we have added brand-new mechanics to deepen the player experience. Here is what’s cooking in the kitchen as we head towards our May 16th target:

📱 Next-Gen "Z-OS" Tablet System

You are no longer tethered to your PC to manage your market. With the tablet accessible at any time via the [c]TAB[/c] key, you are in full control:

Instant Stock & Price Management: Thanks to a system that scans all the shelves in your market, you can see how much of each product is left and update prices in seconds.
Freedom of Movement: You can continue to navigate the market using [c]WASD[/c] keys while using the interface with your mouse while the tablet is open.
Modern Visual Design: We have successfully ported the "Z-OS" glassmorphism design from our HTML prototype into Unity.

The economy is no longer just about numbers; it’s a living system:

Instant News Effects: As soon as a news report is broadcast, product prices change immediately without waiting for the next day.
PC Monitor Integration: You will be able to see whether a product's price has increased (Red ↗) or decreased (Green ↘) on the ordering screen.
Strategic Customer AI: 80% of customers who hear the news now flock directly to your store to buy the relevant product.

🔥 Giant Projects Currently in Development

The May 16th update isn't just a visual refresh; it brings features that will fundamentally change the gameplay:

Real Chaos During News: We are taking customer interest in the news one step further. When news is broadcast, there will be a real rush and chaos in your store. You will need to optimize your shelf layout to manage this intensity!
Checkout System from Scratch: We are completely overhauling the current checkout interactions. We are optimizing physics-based interactions for a faster, smoother, and more satisfying payment experience.
First Steps for Co-op Mode: We have started technical infrastructure work for the most requested feature: Co-op mode. The dream of running a market shoulder-to-shoulder with your friends is not far away!

🔧 On Stability

We take real player feedback very seriously:

We have completely resolved DirectX 12-related crashes and freezing issues on the end-of-day screen.
By switching to the UI Toolkit system, we have increased interface performance and prepared all new systems with full localization support to reduce complexity in the first minutes of the game.

My thoughs and message to the Devs

Just bought the game and just played for less than an hour, like the game and the idea behind. but, noticed that when the sugar event per example happens, customer still complains about the high price. also they don't come in like it shows on the videos, no chaos at all, they come with no rush look at the sugar and complain about the price and leave, not exactly like advertise, also once at the cashier I can not move the camera around to look around the store. Also customer comes in speaking in other lan...

Critical Save Bug Fix & Massive Product Localization Update!

Hello,

I continue to work non-stop on improving Market is Fine. In this update, thanks to your valuable feedback, we’ve solved one of the most critical bugs in the game and performed a massive overhaul of the product catalog and localization system.

Critical Bug Fixes and System Improvements:

Auto-Save & Save System Fix: We found and completely eliminated the annoying bug that caused our players' progress to be lost! Now, at the end of every day (when passing to a new day), your game will automatically save in the background. Additionally, the issue where the "Save Game" and "Return to Main Menu" buttons in the Pause menu only saved settings instead of the actual game has been resolved. Your hard work and progress are now completely safe!
Massive Product Catalog and Language Update: The naming of over 250 products in the game has been completely overhauled from scratch. All products now have much more professional, realistic names, and translations for 10 different languages have been fully integrated into the system. Language mismatches, meaningless names, and missing translations in product names have been completely resolved.
New Save Initialization Bug: A hidden code error that caused products to not be listed at all on the market computer (PC) when starting a new game has been identified and fixed. Now, when you open your new store, your wholesale catalog will be waiting for you flawlessly.

Market is Fine: The Massive Overhaul Update! - Hotfix v1.1

Hello everyone,

I am continuing my work on Market is Fine without slowing down. In this update, I've made massive visual improvements to the game's interface, added tutorials for new players, and smoothed out some annoying economy bumps.

UI and Design Updates:

Brand New Market Interface: The market UI has been completely revamped! You can now enjoy a modern, sleek "Dark Mode" design with glassmorphism effects.
Menu Optimizations: The Pause and Settings menus have been entirely rebuilt from the ground up for better performance.
Early Access Welcome Screen: Added a welcome popup to the main menu for your first login, including a direct link to join our Discord community.

Gameplay, Systems, and Fixes:

Demand Boom: The impact of the news is now much more noticeable! When a news event occurs, customer demand for the affected product will now increase by a massive 80%. Don't forget to stock up your shelves accordingly!
Customer Language Fix: Completely fixed an annoying bug where customers (NPCs) would sometimes speak in a language different from your selected settings.
News Tutorial: Added a step-by-step tutorial UI that triggers during the first news broadcast to help you understand the system better.
News Aftermath Panel: The summary panel that clearly shows exactly which products were affected by the news broadcast has been fully integrated.
Massive Naming Fix: Fixed the localization and names for exactly 227 products. (Instead of weird names like "Flour 2, Cheese 1", you will now see realistic details like "White Flour, Gruyere Cheese" on your shelves!)
Economy Fix: Resolved an economy-breaking bug related to shelf price multipliers.
Graphics Settings Bug: Fixed a bug that caused the quality settings to work in reverse order.
Made under-the-hood structural fixes (build cache) to ensure the game runs much more stably.

Language Confusion

I set my language to english but half of the computer descriptions and other things are still in some other language unknown to me. It's kind of frustrating having to guess what to press when in the computer and some menu items.

My general thoughts about the game

I've never get into the simulation games. But Market is Fine kinda got my attention while browsing randomly on steam so I just watched the trailer or look at some photos. It looks overall better than other simulation games for now. Looks better about graphics, better gameplaying. And best of all... Theres watching football on TV i guess. So I'm waiting for game added to my wishlist! I hope you release the game in no time, can't wait to have my first simulation game experience....
