Every season in Dfiance: Dominance brings a new theme, fresh cards, and new ways to play. Here's what each season looks like from start to finish.

🔷 WEEK 1 — SEASON START

New changes, new theme, everyone is exploring. No one knows what's strong yet — limited card pool, wide open meta.

Season Pass begins — collect cards and unlock rewards.

🔷 WEEK 2 — BUILD & DISCOVER

You've unlocked all cards for one faction. Time to build, refine your deck, and discover the meta.

Tournaments begin — compete and prove your skill.

🔷 WEEK 3 — NEW CARDS

New cards are added to the game. The meta evolves. New strategies emerge.

🔷 WEEK 4 — BALANCE PATCH & RANK DECAY

Balance patch in case it's necessary. This marks the end of the First Season Ranks.

Rank rewards distributed.

🔷 WEEK 5 — NEW CARDS

New cards are added to the game. Keep evolving your decks.

🔷 WEEK 6 — STABILIZATION

No major changes. Focus on climbing and mastering what you've already built.

🔷 WEEK 7 — NEW CARDS

New cards are added to the game. Fresh tools, new possibilities.

🔷 WEEK 8 — BALANCE PATCH

Balance patch in case it's necessary. The meta is fine-tuned for healthy competition.

🔷 WEEKS 9–12 — MASTERY & PRESTIGE

No more changes. The meta stabilizes. This is where the season is all about mastery, competition, and prestige climbing.

NEW CARDS ADDED REGULARLY

Outside of the scheduled weeks above, one new card for each faction is added to the game approximately every 2 weeks. There's always something new to look forward to.

Today we want to walk you through one of the key systems in Dfiance: Dominance — currency. Here's how progression will work from day one.

🟡 GOLD

Gold is your everyday currency — earned through play, spent on progression.

How you earn it:

◆ Complete Daily Quests and Missions

◆ Players earn on average 2500 Gold per day from quests and missions

What you spend it on:

◆ Chests — a normal chest costs 1000 Gold

◆ Card upgrades — costs between 0 and 250 Gold depending on the card's current level

◆ Card upgrades require Card Fragments of that specific card

💎 SHARDS

Shards are the premium currency — farmable, earnable, and never required to enjoy the game.

How you earn them:

◆ Complete Season Pass missions — up to 1200 Shards per season

◆ Complete high-level achievements — up to 1200 extra Shards (once per account)

◆ Place in Tournaments — Shards are among the rewards

◆ Sell special cosmetics on the Marketplace — note that 20% of the value is lost on each sale

◆ Can also be purchased directly if you want to move faster

What you spend them on:

◆ Special chests

◆ Cosmetics in the shop

◆ Season Pass

◆ Marketplace purchases
