**Simple puzzle game with adorable visuals and great soundtrack**

NeNeKoNeKo is a straightforward puzzle game reminiscent of pentomino or tangram puzzles. You have three boxes, a whole bunch of oddly flexible cats in weird shapes and your goal is to arrange the cats such that the boxes are filled up perfectly. If the item management in Resident Evil 4 was your favourite part of the game, then this game is perfect for you. You're under constant time pressure and the more boxes you fill, the more your level increases, and the more complex shapes you'll have to deal with. Beat level 10, and you win.

The game is simple and straightforward, but it also doesn't offer that much. There are three modes: easy, normal, and hard. The hard mode is quite challenging, and it took me several times until I beat it, but it felt fair enough. I'd wish there were more game modes. The foundations are solid, but I think some variation would help keep the game fresh longer. Maybe a mode with items, or cats with unique behaviour or effects.

The visuals are cute and nice to look at. The cats have buttholes and the anatomical accuracy is indeed appreciated.
The soundtrack is fun to listen to, and surprisingly varied!

The controls are ok. I played on SteamDeck. The game uses mouse controls with the trackpad/right analog sticks and shoulder buttons as well as touch controls. It works, but it's not ideal.

Overall, I'd recommend the game. The price is more than fair, and it's fun for a quick game.
