Whenever I enter combat, the game crashes without giving an error log. Has anyone else experienced a similar bug? Does anyone know how to fix it?

When I first recruited Cromlech, I invited him over to my home as a friend, without knowing that it's required if you want to romance him. I wanted to meet more characters first before deciding who to romance. Now I don't have the option to invite him over because I already did it once. Am I permanently locked out of romancing him? If it's a problem with not wanting players to gain +3 friendship every time, wouldn't a better solution be to only have it reward +3 the first time you do it? Especially if it'...
