What is going on exactly seems elusive, as it feels like a fever dream most of the time, but I would point my finger at domestic violence, with a bunch of other icky topics I dont want to mention. There isnt a lot of dialogue, and whats there has issues. The developer had a pretty good understanding of the English language when I talked to them, so its kinda shocking how these simple sentences are riddled with grammatical errors. As I mentioned in my deleted thread before, I still believe the characters movement speed is too slow.
Its not horrible, but not really good either. The art definitely carries it. If you have patience, then check it out.

Horror/Surrealist centered Curator: KuriKuration

A House Inside of Me is a fairly short game that deals with heavy themes many people experience in real life things they often need, or feel forced, to stay silent about. Despite being a narrative driven game, it has a very striking visual style. It almost looks like a children’s storybook, which makes sense since the game is told from the perspective of a young protagonist.
I really liked how the environment is used to create a sense of unease without relying on monsters chasing you. That said, I think it could have been interesting if something did follow you although, given the protagonist’s slow movement, that might have made the game feel overwhelmingly stressful, similar to (clock tower).
The sound effects and overall audio design stood out to me as well. They do a great job of building the suspenseful atmosphere throughout the experience.
It’s a very short game, and I feel like these themes could have been explored further. However, considering it was created during a game jam, its length feels justified and it may even have been a deliberate choice by the developers.

10/10 would get headache again. recommend if you enjoy pain and also forgetting how sentence work.
