Greetings, Exiles.

The gears of "The Well" are turning faster than ever. We’ve been listening to your feedback and grinding away at the rusted machinery to bring you our most significant technical update yet. Whether you are a master strategist or a speedrunner, there is something in this haul for you.

🛠️ The Black Market & Advanced Customization

The most requested feature is finally here. You no longer have to rely purely on what you find in the rusted pits.

The Black Market: A new node where you can forge your own cards, giving you total control over your mechanical engine.
10 New Special Upgrades: We’ve added ten unique ways to enhance your deck, allowing for even deeper synergy with your machines.

🧭 Navigating the Chaos

Procedural Maps: Fixed paths are gone. Every run now features a randomly generated branching map, forcing you to make tough tactical choices between Combat, Shops, and Rest Areas.
Shareable Seeds: Found a particularly brutal or "broken" layout? You can now share your run's seed number with friends to see who truly rules the industrial pit.

📊 Tracking Your Progress

The Collection: A comprehensive new menu to track every weapon, relic and upgrade you’ve encountered or unlocked.
Run Statistics: At the end of every attempt (successful or otherwise), you’ll now get a full breakdown of your performance.
Speedrun Timer: For those who want to escape the King’s judgment as fast as possible, a new in-game timer is now available.

✨ Polish & Repairs

On top of the new features, we’ve overhauled the visuals to make the atmosphere even more gritty and oppressive. We’ve also cleared out a massive backlog of bug fixes to ensure your mechanical weapons fire exactly when they should.

Calling all Surface-Seekers! The industrial depths of King's Well are unforgiving, but those who can optimize their mechanical engine with precision will earn their freedom.

We are excited to announce that the King's Well Demo officially launches on May 4th! To celebrate, we are launching the "King's Well Speedrun Challenge"! We want to see who can navigate the rusted vertical labyrinth and reach the surface in record time.

This event will be part of the Steam Deckbuilders Fest 2026.

Event Dates: May 4th - May 11th at 10am PT.

The wait is over. We are incredibly excited to announce that the King's Well Demo is officially playable as part of the Steam Deckbuilders Fest!

From May 4th to May 11th, you can dive into our steampunk world and experience the high-stakes strategy of our poker-fueled combat system. In King’s Well, your cards aren’t just numbers, they are the ammunition and energy for your entire arsenal.

The Speedrun Challenge Begins! ⏱️

Think you can navigate the depths of the Well faster than anyone else? We are officially kicking off a Speedrun Challenge for the duration of the Steam Deckbuilders Fest from May 4 to May 11.
