The game has a great atmosphere and an interesting concept reminiscent of ParanoiaScape from PS1, but with billiards instead of pinball. Loved it very much, but after defeating Macarena, achievements stopped registering. Also, the boss battle with Gusana is broken, as I spent all 5 bullets on 1 jaw, and it still didn't open. Maybe I'm stupid, but no mechanic suggested any other solution. That's why not recommend right now review.

The mood of this game is incredible. It's worth fighting against the game's 'combat' to enjoy it.

The game is split in two primary sections, super brief point and click sections where you solve 1 puzzle to progress and the 'combat'.

I feel this section explaining how the combat functions will give you a leg up over my own EXP, so if you want the dev's intended EXP, just go play.
Otherwise...

You're feeding giant heads apples with the goal to get a meter to 100. Then phase 2 starts and you do it again. Every time an apple bounces off the edge of the screen, it increases the apple's total points, so an apple that's bounced 4 times will count for 5.
If you're swift, you can get a combo bonus, after so many hits, a plus sign appears over the meter, and each additional plus sign is an extra point. So 3 bounces, with a combo addition of 2, will count for 6.

At first I was frustrated. You never get enough apples to fill the meter twice. In order to get more apples, you need money by hitting coins on screen with your apples, and I felt like coins appearing was complete RNG. I guess it still sort of is, but having a combo with only a couple of bounces increases the chances of items spawning.

I only learned the mechanics during the final boss fight, where you have basically no room for error, needing to spawn 4 bullets AND enough money to get to 200 points total. It was a nightmare cause again, the game doesn't make these goals explicit.

I'm not even strictly in the camp that the game should have been more transparent with it's systems. I wager the opaque nature of things adds to the odd atmosphere they have going.

All in all, the game's lack of instruction can leave the core gameplay loop being not enjoyable, but if the imagery has your interest, you'll probably enjoy giving it a run.
