[Update Notice] Combat Visibility, Camera Controls, Sound, and Bug Fixes

This update focuses on improving combat clarity, exploration feedback, camera controls, and overall game feel.
Several skill descriptions and tutorials have also been improved, along with various bug fixes that affected the flow of combat.

1. Combat Improvements

Added Enemy Position Preview Before Combat Starts

Before combat begins, the game now briefly shows the approximate positions of enemies.
This should help players understand the situation more quickly when entering combat.

Added Visual Effects to Blocks That Will Soon Be Destroyed

Blocks that are about to be destroyed now display a visual effect.
This makes it easier to recognize which blocks will disappear soon.

Added Notification Messages for Restricted Actions

When an action is restricted in certain situations, the game now displays a notification message.
The message also shows the reason why the action is restricted, instead of only saying that the action cannot be performed.

Changed the Multi Deployment Upgrade Effect for the Mage’s Area Skill

The Multi Deployment upgrade effect for the Mage’s area skill has been changed.
The upgrade effect should now feel clearer and more noticeable than before.

2. Exploration Improvements

Improved the Visuals of Enhancement Lanterns

The lanterns that enhance characters during exploration now have stronger visual effects.
Sound effects have also been added, making the interaction feel clearer and more satisfying.

First Skills Now Recover Cooldowns During Exploration

During exploration, each character’s first skill now recovers its cooldown.
This change is intended to prevent basic skill usage from feeling too restricted during exploration.

3. Camera Improvements

Improved Camera Positioning During Character Movement

Camera positioning during character movement has been improved.
The camera should now feel more natural and less awkward while units are moving.

Improved PC Camera Movement Feel

Camera movement on PC has been improved.
This should make aiming skills and checking positions during combat feel smoother and more comfortable.

4. UI and Description Improvements

Improved UI Selection Effects

UI selection effects have been improved to make them easier to read.
It should now be clearer which UI element is currently selected.

Improved Skill Upgrade Descriptions

Some unclear skill upgrade descriptions have been rewritten to make their effects easier to understand.

Updated Some Skill Names and Descriptions

Some existing skill names and descriptions that felt unclear have been revised.

Added a Tutorial for Skill Upgrades

A new tutorial related to skill upgrades has been added to help explain the upgrade system more clearly.

5. Sound Additions

Added Sound Effects When Switching Characters

Sound effects now play when switching between characters.

Added Sound Effects When Casting Skills

Sound effects now play when skills are cast.

Added Death Voices for Units

Units now play voice sounds when they die.

6. Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where Energy was not properly refunded when canceling a skill while affected by a status effect.
Fixed an issue where enemy units could leave the battlefield through an entrance and die.
Fixed an issue where units moved slightly when canceling skill casting.
Fixed an issue where decorative objects recreated after destruction could block skill paths.
Fixed an issue where unnecessary UI elements remained after returning to the title screen.
Fixed an issue where death animations sometimes did not play.

미니맵은 없는게 컨셉인가요?

지나간 곳은 미니맵에 기록되어 보여지면 좋겠다는 생각입니다. 게임의 컨셉이라 면은 어쩔 수 없겠지만 길치에게는 조금 버겁습니다ㅋㅋ 그리고 몹들을 잡고 나서 상호작용에서 강화 선택지가 전체적으로 애매해서 이해가 안갑니다. 선택을 하고 나서도 적용이 되었는지도 잘 모르겠고.. 게임의 컨셉과 분위기가 좋아서 몰입이 확 되네요. 기대됩니다.

[Update Notice] Gamepad Support and Convenience Improvements Update

Update Details

This update includes early progression adjustments, expanded gamepad support, convenience improvements, camera improvements, enemy AI improvements, and sound improvements.

1. Early Progression and Difficulty Adjustment

To better adjust the early-game difficulty, the stage structure has been updated.

The original Stage 1 has been split into Stage 1 and Stage 2, and as a result, one additional stage has been added to the overall stage progression.
This change was made to create a smoother early-game flow and help players adapt more naturally to the combat and core systems.

2. Expanded Gamepad Support

Most gamepad controls are now supported, with the exception of the Settings UI.
Settings-related features will be added and improved in a future update.

The feel of skill aiming has been significantly improved.
When using a gamepad, you can move the camera with the Right Stick (RS), and the aiming experience has been adjusted to feel even more comfortable than mouse control in certain situations.

The cursor will now automatically disappear when it is not needed and only appear when necessary.
In addition, when the cursor is hidden, you can create and move it using LT + RS.

3. Convenience Improvements

Character Selection UI

The character selection UI has been improved to be shown separately.
This UI only appears when changing characters, and it is hidden while moving or using skills.

Camera Improvements

When using keyboard and mouse, the camera now moves according to the skill’s range when a skill is used.

When using a gamepad, the camera now moves naturally based on the aimed target position.

In addition, the camera movement timing and position for enemy skill actions have been adjusted to better match the flow after the previous update removed skill delay.

4. Enemy AI Improvements

Enemy target selection logic has been improved so that enemies now prioritize lower-health targets more naturally.

Previously, if a low-health target had high defense, enemies could choose to attack a higher-health target with lower defense instead.
This has been adjusted so enemies now more intuitively prioritize targets that are easier to finish off.

The wall-destruction decision logic has also been improved.

Previously, wall destruction during movement and the skill combinations available afterward were calculated separately.
Because of this, skill combinations that became available after breaking a wall during movement were not being properly reflected.

This has been fixed so that enemies can now make more efficient decisions even after destroying walls.

5. Sound Improvements

Sound effects have been added and improved for the following situations:

Battle start sounds
Ally and enemy death sound effects
Falling sound effects
Burn sound effects

6. Planned Future Updates

Settings Window Update

Gameplay options will be added in a future update.

Various convenience features will be available with On / Off settings, and the Settings UI/UX will also be improved for gamepad use.

[Update Notice] Control Improvements and Gamepad Beta Support

1. Convenience Improvements

Added target wall indicators for projectile / wall-destruction skills

When using projectile skills or wall-destruction skills, indicators have been added in-game to show which wall is blocking the path or which wall will actually be destroyed.

Removed delay after skill use

The unnecessary delay that occurred after using skills has been removed to improve the overall responsiveness.

2. Hit Detection Improvements

Adjusted wall-destruction detection

Blocks will now no longer be affected by skills if they are blocked by other terrain or units.

Fixed mismatch between mage AoE skill guide and actual effect range

Fixed an issue where the displayed guide for the mage’s area-of-effect skill did not match the actual affected range.

3. Gamepad Beta Support

Gamepad controls have been added starting with this update.

At the moment, this is a beta-level implementation that supports basic gameplay.
The tutorial has also been updated, and you can re-enable the tutorial in the settings to check the controls.
During gameplay, the UI changes in real time by detecting whether you are using PC input or gamepad input.
Gamepad controls will continue to be improved in future updates.

4. AI Improvements

Fixed an issue where empty space was recognized as a wall

Previously, the AI could incorrectly recognize empty space as if it were a wall.

This caused abnormal behaviors such as:

Failing to move diagonally
Using wall-destruction skills toward empty space

This issue has now been fixed.

Fixed terrain score application issue

Fixed a bug where terrain-based position scores were not being applied correctly.
As a result, enemy AI now evaluates terrain more accurately when making decisions.

5. Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where fall-point indicators could remain on screen during gameplay.
Fixed a bug where skill usage would occasionally stop working or become stuck.

6. Planned Future Updates

The following items are currently under consideration for further improvement.

Improved camera movement during skill use
Improved gamepad feel and usability
Additional sound improvements
Updated BGM for Stages 3 and 4

Useless Walls, Terrible Camera Angles

Interesting concept. The game seems to depend a lot on understanding the layout of the dungeon space and it is perpetually frustrating that enemies seem to have limitless knowledge of the layout and you have very little. So you might put up a wall only for them to run around it because they know of a gap that you can't see. Makes the whole wall mechanism seem kind of pointless. You need a thorough understanding of the layout in order to make walls effective, by the time you've gotten your bearings, you ar...
