New Features

- "This Week in MMA" has been completely rebuilt with a tabbed interface (Events, Free Agency, News, Your Promotion) showing activity across the entire MMA world, not just your promotion. Fighter info cards throughout the screen use a new full-bleed portrait design.

- The alerts panel now sorts notifications into Priority, Notice, and Info tabs with count badges. Clicking an alert opens a detailed view with fighter cards, event info, and clickable navigation. New alert types cover weight class changes and training progress with per-fighter stat improvement breakdowns, and repeated alerts from multi-week sims are grouped into a single notification.

Improvements

- Fighter retirement logic has been overhauled. The system now evaluates the full career picture — age, loss streaks, win rate, trajectory, damage taken, and fight volume.

- Smart Fill now prefers matchups between fighters already on your roster before pulling in free agents.

- Regional fighting style and state modifier bonuses now affect the hype of every featured bout on your card, not just the main event. Higher-billed fights still get the biggest boost.

- The fighter profile has been reorganized: fight history has its own dedicated tab, the scouting report uses a cleaner 3-column layout, star power shows tier names instead of raw stats, and fight history rows now show the opponent's record at the time of the fight.

- The dashboard layout is tighter with a smaller event poster, scrollable alerts list, and hopefully no vertical scrolling.

- The round timer now counts down from 5:00 to 0:00 like a real broadcast clock.

- Promotion abbreviations can now be up to 10 characters (previously 4).

- SVG icons (flags, UI elements) render at higher resolution for sharper visuals.

Bug Fixes

- AI promotions now properly factor in fighter records when making signing decisions.

- Fixed issue where default fighter image could be assigned to a fighter.

- Fixed a race condition where pressing keyboard shortcuts during Sim to Event could corrupt game state by running two simulations at once.

- Fixed a crash during event completion when using Sim to Event.

- Fixed a crash when clearing fighter slots in the bout editor during card building.

- Fixed a crash on the milestone celebration screen that could cause it to skip ahead before loading.

- Fixed a crash that could occur during certain scene transitions.

- Fixed the tutorial spotlight getting out of sync if you navigated away while a step was loading.

- Fixed double-clicking the Book button on a suggestion adding the same matchup twice.

- Fixed the fight restarting from the beginning when switching commentary modes mid-fight.

- Fixed the inactive fighter alert count capping at 3.

- Fixed unaffordable contract options being clickable on the post-event screen. Token balance is now pinned above the scroll area.

- Fixed missing space in clinch strike names on the finish display.

Post Fight Interviews Update

Happy to announce that Post-Fight Interviews are now live in the game.

After each Main Event and Co-Main Event, the winner will now be interviewed following the fight. This marks the beginning of a major feature expansion as we start adding real personality to the fighters in the game.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing weigh-ins, pre-fight press conferences, and more direct interactions with fighters. Think of this as the foundation for giving each fighter a unique personality and more opportunities to showcase it in different ways.

New Features

Fighters now give post-fight interviews after co-main and main event bouts, reacting to the fight outcome and sharing their future plans based on personality and career context. Interviews can trigger world effects like rivalries, title shot demands, and retirement hints.
Expanded the fighting styles system from 7 to 13 styles (including Submission Hunter, Clinch Fighter, Wrestle-Boxer, Scrambler, Cage Cutter, and Volume Striker) and disciplines from 11 to 13, with each style now meaningfully affecting fight decisions.
Fighter nationality now influences discipline selection through regional modifiers, so fighters from different countries trend toward regionally authentic martial arts backgrounds.
Added a guided card builder walkthrough and location selection tutorial to help new players set up their first events.
Added anonymous telemetry tracking across major game systems with an opt-out toggle in settings, to help us understand how players engage with different features.

Improvements

Fighting style is now displayed across all major UI screens including the bout editor, free agency, fighter profiles, quick view, and selection rows.
AI promotions will no longer sign free agents who are already booked for one of your upcoming events.
The simulation can no longer be advanced to an unfinished event, and a warning is shown when scheduling an incomplete fight card.

Tuned cities and venue capacity for better variety.
Added settings toggles for tutorials and telemetry opt-out.

Bug Fixes

Fixed championship defense counts getting out of sync after saving and loading a game. Existing saves will self-heal on load.
Fixed the "YOUR ROSTER" tag incorrectly appearing on fighters signed to any promotion, not just yours.
Fixed bout order in the results wizard not matching the order shown in the card builder.
Fixed various UI crashes caused by deferred callbacks firing during scene teardown.
Fixed boot camp and local promotions incorrectly having championship belts.
