I don't even play a lot of earthbound-likes but this was lovely! I really enjoy the comicbook theming in the cutscenes and that the game's chapters are called volumes. The music is catchy (I especially like the final boss' track). The combat is REALLY fun, to the point that I ended up fighting every enemy I possibly could in the demo: The weakpoint system is great and makes fights really enjoyable on repeat attempts. no idea if the devs read this LOL itd be funny if they did though I played through the game as normal, first time, went to go get the key from the rat in the basement, but instead of going through the door at the top I went into a vent and then immediately went back out, causing the area to suddenly turn dark? And then I just...walked through the door and then beat the boss. Now my game crashes whenever I try to enter the vent again after the valve shut off the door when I re-entered the room....

My short take on this demo is that I am thoroughly impressed from the mechanics of this new modern age turn based along with the amazing sprite work and interesting story that I am most invested in. Definitely takes spiritual inspiration from the classics of earthbound and undertale aesthetics. Cant wait to see more from the team. Quick note was that a beserk reference at the end??...
