Achievements don't work?

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I'm unable to get any achievements to work or unlock. Not sure if it's a bug. I played the whole way through and will replay over again many times in the future.

I'm genuinely baffled by this release

The Dark Eye remains one of my favorite point-and-click adventure games, so naturally I was a bit excited when I saw this pop up in my recommendations, but there's quite a few things that make this release strange: 1) Is there any particular reason why the name of the game was changed? "Edgar Allan Poe's Interactive Horror: 1995 Edition" doesn't sound anywhere nearly as compelling as "The Dark Eye". Is it a right's issue (such as with a certain German role-playing series)? If it is, why still use the name...

I have never witnessed any media that brings written works to life as faithfully as The Dark Eye does. The mix of stop motion, Claymation, early CGI, and voice acting melds together to create one of the most un-nerving games I have ever played. This game will not be for everyone. There is no gameplay to speak of, just pointing and clicking. That’s not even talking about the technical issues like multiple soft lock states throughout each story.

I however am extremely glad that as barebones at it is, The Dark Eye was preserved in some way with it’s re-release on steam. Edgar Allan Poe’s Interactive Horror: 1995 Edition isn’t the title this historical piece deserves, but without it’s release, I would not have been able to experience, or even known about The Dark Eye, one of the few, if not the only game that can give An Edgar Allan Poe Experience.

A classic brought back from the dead. Only wish they added some QoL.

Bittersweet. Really glad to see it on Steam but I just wish they allowed some modern touches to smooth it over. Either way I hope the game sells well!

Is this an official release?

I'm all in all apprehensive. I've loved this game since the 90s so I want to be sure if I'm supporting a rerelease that its all on the up and up. A lot of text on the store page was flagged when run through an AI detector. The company has no other releases. Generic company name and logo? Games name changed potentially for trademark, potentially so its less likely to be detected. If the developers are reading this could you elaborate on how you secured the license? That would do a lot to put my mind at ...
