Demo Patch Notes! 05-30-26

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for trying out the Vampy's Big Day demo so far!

Took a little break yesterday on my birthday but got some bugs fixed this morning for the first patch of the demo.

Thanks to everyone who filled out bug reports! Working hard to get everything resolved. Here's what changed in this patch:

Additions:

Added new settings slider for sun movement sensitivity! Just testing it out since people have different preferences on how fast the sun should move. Let me know what you think.

Bug Fixes

Fixed bug in Heliora boss fight dialogue preventing people from progressing
fixed bug where holding shift while pushing/pulling crates would mask the sound. Crates now make noise consistently, alerting nearby villagers

Other Changes:

tweaked the speed of sun shield regeneration speed to be slower
tweaked volume sliders in settings to not drop the volume so aggressively
new sound effect for damage to vampy
made it MUCH more obvious which button to press to progress dialogue at the start of the tutorial since most people missed it.

Thanks for your patience as I keep making improvements! It's just a one man army over here but I'm super grateful for your support :)

My Notes about the demo

1- During text conversation with the fairy thingy, you can turn around with directional input. Usually, you shouldn’t be able to so perhaps it’s better to stop directional input during conversations. 2- Controller support please… 3- Why can’t I press enter or space to advance text? (it should be multiple options) 4- If keyboard, I wanna have the option to move with the arrows as well WASD 5- Pushing the stones to solve the purple flower puzzle is a bit wonky. Hey everyone! Didn't realize I could make posts on Steam, but I'm super excited to share some updates with you all!

I've been hard at work fixing bugs with playtesters, polishing levels, and even making the first trailer for the game!

If you aren't aware, I'll be participating in the June NextFest! But I hope to get the demo out in the next few weeks for you all to play.

I can't wait for you all to get your hands on it and hear what you think about the game so far!

Is that normal???

I just tried to play a little bit of the game,and,when i getted out of the shadow,i had a white screen???I waited some minutes but nothing hapenned so...ya,my pc is a really good one so that can't come from my pc^^'

Demo Controls

Keyboard and mouse controls were horrible IMO. Controlling the shadows with the mouse is too awkward. I quit playing because of it. I had turned on my controller during the introductory chat with the fairy, but the game didn't register it. I see a comment on another post that controller support should be working. Giving it another go with the controller turned on beforehand. When first speaking with the fairy in the tutorial, it doesn't tell you 'F' is bound to interact. It felt like the game was unrespo...

Excited for the game, enjoying the Devlog content on YT
