Like the first part, it is once again a feast for the eyes and a pleasant way to pass the time.

The game starts with a good pacing but is terribly balanced towards the end. You have to play 10-20 rounds to buy just one meaningless upgrade...

This is a difficult one to review for me. The first 6 hours were fantastic but the late game grinds to a friggin crawl. This games progression feels entirely based on what upgrade cards you pick when you get a new level. Depending on what you pick you might finish this game in 4-5 hours or 15-20. I picked upgrades that I thought looked fun not thinking there'd be this huge disparity between usefulness.

The games Market feature is also a sticking point. It becomes far less usable as you use it since the cost doubles every time you buy something.

With my menu loitering taken into account I probably have 8.5 hours of attentive play and I think I'm about 90% done but it feels like that last 10% is gonna take me 3-4 more hours.

If the late game balance was better this would easily be one of my favourites in the genre. As it stands I can't recommend this unless you can get it for a few bucks.
