I've been following the progress of this game since it first appeared a good 24 years ago. This game came out a year after Runescape and a two years before WoW. It has, since then, never once cost a single cent to play it in any capacity. No subscription, no micro transactions, no pay to win. It's clunky, dated, extremely unpolished, unintentionally hilarious (the best kind of hilarious), and by all rational measure should have been abandoned after 1, maybe 2, years of attempting to keep such a project afloat. And yet it persists. It has outlived countless MMOs as it lingers quietly in the background, asking for nothing, and saying very little of itself. It's silently seen major updates, overhauls, and completely new game engines. And now here we are, it's finally made it on to Steam, still free from any monetization as far as I can tell. My fascination with this game continues to grow. I'll keep watching it, I'll play once in awhile just to see how things have changed for myself. And I feel like if it ever does draw to a close and the developers finally extinguish this seemingly ever burning candle, that day will feel like the end of an era, at least to me.

Since this game is an OLDSCHOOL Classic and Millenials who grew up with thier first clunker PC's experienced the entire gaming transition; I would RATE this game very highly for it's unique FLAVOR. PLEASE do NOT rate or compare this game to new games because it's a legendary classical game similar to Auteria or Oberin or Might & Magic 6/7/8. Please rate this game based on it's history, unique perspective, it's grit to stay alive for a devoted community of players and really take your time to experience it for a few months before writing up a review.

A lot of meat to the game once you start to wrap your head around how the game works.
