Awesome in its simplicity. Wish there were more games like this with throwback graphics and a straightforward gameplay loop. There are so many games that try this formula, but then overcomplicate what this does so unpretentiously.

This game is as much about speed and pace as it is about hunkering down; in one sense it's almost as much of a racing game as it is survival defense ... every second you hesitate is time working against you, and that feeling of urgency to keep moving against the game clock is what actually elevates and propels the gameplay.

I was hoping the campaign would be more fun than the demo. It was actually less fun. In fact it just felt tedious. The endless mode was the only part that felt decent, but there is no save in endless so that ruins that mode. I refunded, but I'm going to keep this in my wishlist and come back to it later. As it is now, I can't recommend it.

A simple, challenging, and satisfying strategy gem.

After 30 minutes of playing the demo, I sensed this was something good. Music is cool, every wave of attacks is different, and you can gather resources and build your way. So I decided to buy the game, just finished the campaign, and have only good things to say. Big thumbs up!

This is one of those addictive games that will have you planning when you're not even playing, wondering how you can do things better next time. Experimenting with different tactics is fun and has a real impact. When you add in different kinds of procedurally generated maps, and endless survival mode, the challenge will be different everytime and lasts as long as you do!

If you're an old school RTS fan that likes base building, challenges that require real strategy to overcome, and turtling to survive as long as you can - get this one. It really scratches that itch in a way most don't.

The only thing I didn't like was that it can feel like you don't get enough time between waves of attackers at night, but that time pressure adds to the challenge forcing you to play better and build smarter - or get overrun. It makes each triumph more satisfying.

I'm a happy customer just from playing through the campaign and beating the tough final boss (after getting bulldozed a few times lol). With maps that constantly vary plus endless survival for under $20 - it is an easy recommend. I'll keep playing this one and see if I can get all the achievements, and will have fun doing it.
