🛠 Fixes & Improvements

Fixed the major input lock issue where characters would get stuck moving forward as if the “W” key was permanently pressed. Additional safeguards were added to prevent this state from happening again.
Fixed Mr. Ledger continuing to cough even after player interaction.
Fixed tutorial progression issue where back planks did not disappear for late joiners.
Incinerator button size increased for better visibility.
Fixed issue where late joiners couldn’t interact with the slider door numpad.
Fixed hard-stuck bug: placing the front PC for the first time and then repositioning it with B caused the UI to disappear completely. This no longer breaks the session.
Fixed issue where some players could not see inventory icons for certain objects.
Fixed issue where the Incinerator could spawn facing the wrong direction.
Fixed issue where objectives would not appear after saving mid-tutorial and loading back into the game.

The demo is now in its most stable state so far. More improvements and content updates are coming.

🔧 DEMO UPDATE – Polish, Stability & Visual Improvements

🎨 UI & Visual Fixes

Fixed low-quality Escape Menu artwork.
Updated Incinerator icons on the Dark Web screen.
Corrected reversed “POLICE” text on the police car door.
End Game screen updated.
“Voiceover Volume” setting renamed to Voice Chat Volume for clarity.
Added a night-only easter egg across from the shop.
Environment and foliage adjustments.
Fixed foliage not receiving shadows.
Optimizations applied to foliage materials.
Missing colliders added (more known spots will continue to be fixed).

🍕 Gameplay & Interaction Improvements

“Pizza Station” renamed to Topping Station.
Added placement sound effect when adding ingredients to pizza.
Ingredient placement now shows interaction prompt in format (0/7) while looking at pizza.
Fixed inventory icons not appearing for sponge, basketball, and pizza box.
Held items no longer auto-drop when moving too far from holding position. This caused confusion and has been removed for better UX.
Incinerator button now flashes red instead of white when there is something inside, for better visibility.
Shady Delivery Point sound effect issues resolved.
Shop shutter sound effect issues resolved.
Input-related safeguards added to prevent interaction conflicts.
Host/Client ownership protection added to prevent desync-related ownership bugs.

🧠 NPC, Quest & Multiplayer Fixes

Fixed Mr. Ledger arrow indicator not appearing while waiting. Added waiting sound effect.
Open World Quest NPCs now show proper idle dialogue after completing all tasks.
Added quest owner names to Shady mission UI. Improved hint visibility.
Fixed some Shady NPCs incorrectly giving upfront payment.
Fixed late-join issue where players saw empty dialogue boxes with existing customers.
Additional protections added for host-client state consistency.

📘 Tutorial & Progression

Updated several tutorial hints for clarity.
Full-game items are now properly listed and indicated.
Various stability improvements to progression and interaction systems.

The demo is becoming more stable and polished with every update.

We will continue pushing both technical improvements and content additions, and we’re far from done.

🚀 MAJOR UPDATE – Demo Stabilization & System Overhaul

18 Feb

First of all, thank you.

Nearly 2,000 players jumped into the demo within the first 48 hours. That level of engagement gave us a massive amount of real-world feedback, and we moved fast.

With this update, the demo no longer has any critical technical blockers. Core systems are stable. Multiplayer is stable. Save/load is stable.

We’ll continue improving performance optimization and visual polish, especially remaining collision edge cases and lighting refinements.

🛠 Core Fixes & Improvements

🍕 Pizza & Station Systems

Fixed inconsistent Pizza Station placement behavior between host and clients.
Resolved late-join desync issues affecting Dough Press and Sauce Machine handles.
Oven load/sync issues addressed. Machine interaction handling stabilized.
Fixed ingredient container load bug where containers visually showed full (100/100) but couldn’t dispense ingredients.
Fixed cargobox load conflicts preventing ingredient containers from refilling properly.
Freezer dough persistence on load corrected.

🔗 Multiplayer & Late Join

Back door late-join issue fixed.
Slider door now supports interaction buttons on both sides.
Reconnection / re-host audio loss bug resolved.
Machine usage now locks inventory slot switching to prevent state corruption.

💾 Save / Load

Fixed BTC disappearing after bed save.
Addressed multiple load-state inconsistencies causing floating or invisible items.
Tutorial save flow stabilized.

📘 Tutorial & Flow Improvements

Open/Close Shop steps now properly highlighted.
Step 10 adjusted so players manually open the shop with clearer hints.
Added indicators for shop shutter and back door buttons.
Intro video now requires holding Space to skip, preventing accidental skips.
Direct NPC delivery added: press E to hand over pizza. Counter placement + bell interaction removed due to heavy player friction.

🖥 UI & Menu

Sensitivity & menu bugs fully resolved.
1920x1080 UI layout fixed.
Updated I KNOW A GUY logos in menus.
Added Quick Save button to Main Menu.
PC UI item page now properly reflects:
- Green = unlocked
- Yellow = level-locked in demo
- Red = full release content (indicator added)

💰 Economy & Shady System Changes

Shady customers no longer pay upfront cash.
All shady missions now complete via courier and pay in BTC.
Adjusted starting economy: Tony Slice now gives $2000 instead of $3200.
Added hint to Dark Web washing machine purchase quest.

🎮 Interaction & UX

Cash register infographic updated to show right-click reclaim hint.
ESC can now exit machines alongside E to prevent menu-lock bugs.
Reduced excessive ingredient refill animation load (DOTween optimization).
Build lighting penetration issue corrected.

The demo is now in a technically stable state compared to launch.

We’ll keep improving performance and visual polish while preparing for full release-level expansion.

i dont know if its my keyboard i have a razer huntsman mini, but constantly when i play the game moves me diagonally like it is constantly pressing w and a. if someone has a fix please tell me

This demo is not ready yet

I just get though day one and there are so many bugs, it needs more time, 1. forced to "host a lobby" instead of just start a single player game is terrible. 2. I picked up an instrument and there is no way to put it down, most things in this game cannot be put down easily, 3. there is no sprinting/running yet, making it feel agonising slow, 4. interacting with machines feels clunky, pressing E to get "into" the machine and then using mouse for specific parts, which is also very easy to miss, is not good,...
