Jaden, I'm not just saying this as just a fan, but seriously. Great game man. I can tell a lot of work was put into this project, and the voice acting was amazing. The only complaint I have is that the chase scene is a bit too tough I thought, but overall, good job. I hope we get to see more games made by you eventually.

It's more of a short 20 minute long experience than a game. I bought it to support Jaden and don't regret it at a 3 dollar price point. Don't expect much more than a short horror romp.

The game is okay for the half hour that it takes to complete it, but only because 30 minutes is not a lot of time to lose. I'm a fan of Jaden as a creator, so it is out of respect that I'm telling it how it actually is: this game is not a worthwhile experience. To make sure I didn't miss the point, I completed the game 3 times, getting both endings and all achievements.

To the game's credit, the artstyle is good, the lowpolygonal aesthetic matches well with the low-quality audio that is purposefully used for the spoken lines.

The story in this game is very one-note and a little inconsistent. It is emphasised through the opening cutscenes and a note you can find that the 9 pm curfew is very importnat, and that it is VITAL that we finish our job before the time ends, but it is never reflected in the actual story. There is no timer and it doesn't come up as a plot point. Actually, taking it into account, it's rather silly that our main character would only carry two bags at a time, because he should make an effort to bring ALL bags with him to not backtrack all the time, no matter how much of an inconvinience it would be for him. The main character is simultaniously very worried about the killer and very chill about it. Sure, I can believe him going to the photographer's apartment, because he doesn't want to upset a customer, even though that's rather sketchy, but at one point he sees blood all over an apartment and a strange man lurking around and his bags disappearing and... proceeds to enter a suspicious apartment, thus getting locked in with a killer? A better thought through game would've made it absolutely clear that the main character is comically afraid of losing his job, and so would do all these comically silly things. But such themes don't come as a plot point.

The gameplay is surprisingly restrictive. You can't walk up a flight of stairs until you need to in order to deliver a meal, so your exploration is limited. You can't decide to say "screw it" and go home without finishing your deliveries. Knocking on the doors where the package has already been delivered prompts no additional event even when it would make sense (in fact it directly contradicts that the killer would be able to enter apartment 8). There is a funny note on the wending machine that asks residents not to buy a certain snack, but the player is not allowed to do the funny thing of ordering that snack. There is no dynamic way of interacting with the environment and the story is just strictly on rails, which undermines the story, breaks immersion and, honestly, is rather dull.

There are two points at which you get to choose your character's answer. At one of them you are choosing the ending, and at the other one your choice, I kid you not, doesn't even affect how the person in front of you responds at all. Which is a shame, because I liked the goth girl's design and wanted there to be some depth to her, at least in terms of gameplay.

The final chase sequence is just straight up bad. It's completely rng based, you just have to hope that the killer doesn't look in your direction whenever you turn a corner. The idea is that you would listen to his steps to know where he is, but they don't make it clear enough, and also he just moves randomly, so you can't anticipate him. And every time you die it puts you way further back than it needs to.

The secret easter egg was a let down. I had to replay the game a third time, because I needed to get into the photographer's apartment, and all I got for all of that was a little silly jokey audio clip. At least let me enter a secret room and look at something interesting. You have all these notes spread out throughout the building that hint at some interesting gameplay quirk, like using the wending machine or calling the repairs guy, or the number on the missing person posters, but no gameplay behind them.

There could be some secrets that are more difficult to discover, maybe knock on all doors as many times as their apartment number, or knock on the elevator shaft 15000 times, or anything else, really, but the base game has to be good for me to bother with finding them.

This game was a bust. What I didn't expect from Jaden was a very basic generic plotline about a serial killer and a dull on-rails restrictive gameplay, but that's what I got. Hopefully Jaden's next gaming project, if there is one, will bring out his creativity a little more.
