Randel’s Quest is a Wordle-inspired roguelike where every guess becomes a tactical decision. Build words, trigger effects, manage rows, and defeat enemies in strategic letter-based combat.

In the demo you can:

• Upgrade your slot machine with new effects during each run
• Use a Wordle-based economy where color hints become your currency
• Hack your machine with Slotto to reroll, clone, delete, or upgrade effects
• Shop with hints instead of gold, buying potions and strange items from Jack
• Fight the Dragon boss

The need for pre-existing skill at Wordle

One of the many reasons Balatro works is that you don't have to be good at poker to get started - it gives you tools at the very beginning to help you. I have no skill at Wordle. I also love ______+Balatro games. I was surprised to start this game and be dropped into just a standard Wordle start, asked to come up with a 5 letter word with no mechanical assistance. Just my 2c....

I think its unbalanced right now

I think i also got hit although i should have been healed, so that was weird. And its very easy to die especially if you roll two times damage yourself and the sentence above... Maybe make it so theres only one dmg urself at the beginning. And i think its sometimes wiser to just guess wrong words right? I think that could be an interesting strategic spin. I had never guessed a word correctly before i or my enemy died. Maybe also increase the health of the player so it doesnt end so quickly....

Localization Support

Hi! Is localization being considered? If the dev team ever considers adding support to other languages in the future, it would be great! I know it's no easy task, being a game about words as a core mechanic. I am a game translator myself and I'd love to work on localizing this game to Brazilian Portuguese, if possible! Let me know if I can help in the future....

Interesting Concept! A bit of feedback after playing the demo

Hey there! I'm obsessed with game systems and design, and have worked with many developers in the past to polish systems from demos to improve their final product. Confused

I love wordle and was really excited for this game. However I got stuck at the hack your roll stop. I guessed the word but it wouldn't let me buy any power OR progress through to another level.
