I changed the resolution to fit my screen (why is the default for a resolution that hasn't been used in 20 years?) and it didn't apply. I changed the controls to a normal standard WASD (who uses the arrow keys for movement? have you seen the arrow keys on a modern keyboard? they're useless for gaming.), and they didn't apply.
