Bones and Coins Demo v0.8.0 - Patch Notes (New Hero: Wizard)

Hey Heroes!

We are getting very close to 20,000 wishlists, thank you so much for all the support. It really means a lot.

We just updated the demo with version v0.8.0, bringing a bunch of gameplay, balance, and UI improvements based on your feedback.

🏰 Dungeon Room Level System

Dungeon rooms now have their own room-based progression and bonuses, giving each room a stronger sense of growth during a run.

🧱 Room Size Changes

Dungeon size is no longer fixed or endlessly growing in the same way. Rooms now change based on progression, and we added a max skeleton limit tied to room size.

💀 Better Late-Session Flow

In longer sessions, there were often too few skeletons left, which made extended runs feel slower. We made changes to keep sessions more active and rewarding.

⚔️ Faster Heroes

Hero movement speed and attack speed have been increased overall, making combat feel more responsive.

🧙 Wizard Added

A new hero, Wizard, has joined the demo, along with 3 new blessings.

🌳 Skill Tree Updates

New nodes have been added to the Skill Tree, and existing costs have been rebalanced.

🔤 Font Improvements

We added a new font for Latin languages with much better readability, based on the feedback we received.

🎵 Dynamic Room Music

Music now changes depending on the room, making each part of the dungeon feel more distinct.

✨ UI and UX Improvements

We also included many smaller interface, usability, and feedback-driven improvements throughout the demo.

Broke the demo

so I unlocked wizard with the bouncing fireball on kill. with the tree maxed out to get the lightning strike I brick the game every time. I run the wizard and the shaman both at level 2, after about 3 seconds the game locks up and I have to force quit. love the game I'll post screen shots in the screen shot channel....

Bones and Coins - Steam Next Fest Demo is Live!

A new demo update has arrived!

We’ve focused on improving progression flow, combat clarity and overall balance to make your dungeon runs smoother.

n this demo version, you can now play with three heroes:

Barbarian – High durability, strong frontline damage
Archer – Consistent ranged DPS
Shaman – Support and utility unit

We also refined dungeon pacing so loot feels more consistent and satisfying as you push deeper.

What’s New

Improved combat responsiveness and clearer attack feedback
Better hero synergy balance for stronger build diversity
Skill Tree adjustments for more meaningful upgrade choices
Economy tweaks to improve early and mid-run progression
Various bug fixes and performance improvements

funny bug: too many skeltons!

When you push "play" two times quickly, the skeltons spawn twice! This is very easy way to earn much coins!

Feedback (demo v0.6)

Hi! - on initial start, jump straight into the combat. Don’t start on the upgrade screen. Gets the player hooked. You can explain stuff later. - make the “start looting” banner not block the playfield. The player needs to pick a good starting spot and it gets in the way....

Honest review, no offensive.

After having a 30min fun in demo here my review. Pro: -it's kind of old fun "Destroy Your Desktop" game, you watch those Skeleton getting wreck every where your mouse goes. -look like there are a lot of upgrade waiting when the game is release Con: -Your heroes have almost no meaning, most of you damage coming from hovering your mouse (actually it's cycloning your mouse across the map) I doubt heroes can even get 10 kills before time running out (each map last about 10sec depends on your upgrade) -Any wea...

[DEMO FEEDBACK] remove the waiting and other ideas

1. The timer - dump it. 2. The "start looting" popup/wait time before round - get rid of that bit too. as an iteration game, the goal should be to have people mindlessly grinding when upgrading when they want, to make the iteration faster/more efficient with the goal being total automation by the end. as for other things - make the party members attack nearest (or give them specific targeting by class) - alongside upgrades (OR as an upgrade) add a copy of each unit, so investing points actually makes i...
