I was lucky enough to receive a code from the game's creator (it's made by a single person), so I got the game for free.

The game is simple but fun, a classic side-scrolling shooter where you aim with the mouse and move with the keyboard (I haven't seen any controller support, although I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to add, since the commands are super simple: move, shoot, reload, activate elements on screen). During the game, the zombies you eliminate sometimes drop items that temporarily improve your abilities (like saving ammo, increasing the critical hit chance, etc.) and also parts to upgrade your weapons. You can choose from several types of weapons, although you'll only carry one per stage: pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles—for now. The graphics are simple but do the job well, although if there's one thing I could improve, it would be the gore. The game needs more blood on screen to match the gameplay and the excellent soundtrack. The author of the game said that it would make difficult to see through the blood and he/she is probably right, tho,

Now for the important question: is it fun? Yes, the increasing difficulty curve is, at least for now, steep enough to keep you hooked and make time fly by. The game doesn't have a story, nor does it need one, and it reminds me of classic shoot 'em ups, where you just keep advancing, eliminating enemies. Obviously, it's not the kind of game that will give you 1000 hours of exploration and grinding, but it might still get you to invest much more time than you'd expect from such a simple game because it's so much fun to play.

I haven't been able to try the online mode yet, so I won't comment on it until I can play it.

Considering it was made by a single person, I think it's a fantastic game, and I'm sure that anyone who tries it will have a great time.

He tenido la suerte de que el autor del juego (está hecho por una sola persona) me diera un código, así que he recibido el producto de forma gratuita.

El juego es simple pero divertido, un mata-mata de los clásicos en el que avanzas lateralmente, apuntas con el ratón y te mueves con el teclado (no he visto que haya compatibilidad para mando aunque supongo que no será muy difícil de añadir, porque los comandos son super simples: moverse, disparar, recargar, activar elementos en pantalla). Durante el juego, los zombis que eliminas van soltando (a veces) elementos que mejoran temporalmente tus habilidades (como ahorrar munición, tener mejor probabilidad de golpes críticos, etc.) y también piezas para mejorar las armas. Puedes elegir entre varios tipos de armas, aunque sólo llevarás una para cada fase: pistolas, escopetas, fusiles de asalto y de francotirador -de momento-. Los gráficos son sencillos pero cumplen muy bien su función, aunque si pudiera mejorar algo sería el gore, el juego necesita más sangre en pantalla para estar a tono con el gameplay y con la estupenda música que compone su banda sonora. No obstante el/la autor/a del juego me ha comentado que eso haría difícil ver en el juego, y probablemente sea cierto.

Ahora lo importante, ¿es divertido? Sí, la curva creciente de dificultad es, al menos de momento, lo suficientemente pronunciada como para engancharte y que se pase el tiempo. El juego no tiene historia, no la necesita, y me recuerda a los clásicos mata-mata de toda la vida, en los que avanzas y avanzas eliminando enemigos. Obviamente no es el tipo de juego que te dará 1000 horas de exploración y grindeo, pero igual puede conseguir que inviertas en él mucho más tiempo del que esperas de un juego tan simple porque te lo pasas muy bien jugándolo.

No he podido probar el modo online todavía, así que no comentaré al respecto hasta que lo pueda jugar.

Teniendo en cuenta que lo ha hecho una persona en solitario, me parece un juego estupendo y estoy seguro de que, quienes lo prueben, pasarán un muy buen rato.
