Time for another Fleet Hunters development update.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has wishlisted and followed the project so far.

Development has been progressing steadily (mostly) over the past months. Since this is my first commercial Steam release, I’ve also been learning a huge amount throughout the process.

Some areas of development simply take more time than originally expected. 🫡

The release window has realistically shifted slightly into early Q3 2026 🤞

Delays are never ideal, but I’d much rather take the extra time needed to deliver a decent experience than rush the game out too early.

I’m excited to officially announce that Fleet Hunters will be participating in Steam Next Fest: Summer 2026 (June 15 to June 22)

This will be a huge milestone for the project and the first opportunity for many players to try the game and share feedback before launch.

The demo available during Next Fest will focus on the core single-player gameplay experience, while the full release will include the complete multiplayer experience the game is being built around.

Wishlists, follows, comments, and shares make a massive difference for indie games — especially solo-developed projects like this one.

Hey everyone!

It’s been a little while since the first development update, so I wanted to share where things currently stand with Fleet Hunters and what I’ve been working on behind the scenes.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has wishlisted and followed the project so far. Seeing the support from players this early really helps keep the motivation high as a solo indie developer.

Development is continuing steadily. Over the past months I’ve been focusing on improving the core gameplay systems and making sure the game feels responsive and satisfying.

Recently I’ve also started testing the game on Steam Deck.

The good news is that Fleet Hunters already runs very well on the device, and I’m currently working on improving controller support and UI scaling to make sure everything feels natural on the smaller screen.

Being able to play matches comfortably on the Deck is something I’m really excited about.

Originally I was hoping for an earlier release, but as a solo developer I want to make sure the game reaches a level of polish I’m happy with before launch.

The current goal is to release by the end of Q2 2026. 🤞

There’s still testing, balancing, and polish work ahead, but the game is steadily getting closer to the finish line.
