Hi everyone,

These past couple of weeks we've been heads-down squashing bugs, tuning animations, and (most importantly) teaching Hell's denizens how to actually put up a fight. Let's get into it.

• Animation Speed Options: You asked, we listened. You can now choose between Normal, Fast, and Very Fast battle animations. If you've been tapping your foot waiting for Canones or Card Clashes to resolve, this one's for you.

• Smarter Enemies (First Pass): Enemy AI has received its first major overhaul. Opponents should now feel more alive and make noticeably better decisions on the battlefield. This is an ongoing effort and more improvements are coming, but the days of exploiting clueless demons are numbered.

• Sound Effects Overhaul: We've reworked a number of sound effects and improved the overall audio mix. Everything should feel more cohesive and in tune with the atmosphere now.

• Count Ugolino Event: Fixed an issue where Regiones with Canones weren't appearing in the correct order during the event.

• Gloria: Fixed Gloria so it's now properly tied to Regiones instead of cards, which is how it was always meant to work.

• Vigor Preview: Reworked how the Vigor cost preview behaves when dragging cards. The preview now shows the value gained from sacrificing when a card is over the sacrifice zone, and only marks the card as consuming Vigor once it actually reaches the battlefield.

• The Fateful Voyage: Fixed a bug that could offer Reliquiae you already owned as rewards.

• Canones Tooltip: Added a short delay to Canones tooltips to prevent flickering when moving the mouse across them. Tooltips now also hide while you're dragging a card, to keep the battlefield readable.

• Canones Animation: Revised the failed-activation animation to feel more contextual, and tightened the timing so each Canon effect finishes before the next one begins.

• Fortune Teller Event: Fixed an issue that let you click cards before the animation had finished.

• Card Sizing in Hand: Fixed a bug where rapidly hovering over cards in hand caused them to grow progressively larger. Infinite-size hand is not a feature (yet).

• Rapid Click Fixes: Squashed a series of bugs triggered by rapid-clicking certain buttons. We get it, you're excited, but the UI needed to keep up.

• Region Display: Fixed a visual bug that showed Regiones as locked between battles when they shouldn't have been.

• Edit Region Screen: Fixed a graphical glitch when moving Canones around in the Edit Region screen.

• Mulligan & Swap Screens: Fixed Region selection being unintentionally possible during Mulligan or Swap screens triggered by specific artifacts.

• Keyword Styling: Removed bold formatting from keywords in contexts where the alternate color isn't present, so text reads more cleanly.

• Various Visual Fixes: Squashed a handful of minor visual glitches, including a brief display bug on enemy cards before they were played.

• Settings & Accessibility: We're reworking the options menu to make it more functional and accessible. Expect a cleaner experience in the next build.

• More Audio Polish: Another round of SFX updates is already mixed and will land in the next patch.

• Localization & Balance: Multilanguage support is on the way! While we're at it, we're also taking a fresh look at Canones and Reliquiae power levels and fleshing out key narrative moments across the run.

• Lower Circles: The next layers of Hell are already taking shape behind the scenes. We're not ready to show them off just yet, but we will soon.

We're also working on a few other things, including a new Collection and End Run screen, but these are still taking shape and might land in a future update. We'll share more when they're ready.

Hi everyone,

The last few days have been a whirlwind. Seeing people actually playing the demo and breaking our systems has been both terrifying and amazing.

We’ve been reading every bit of feedback, and one thing became clear immediately: our tutorial was failing you. Specifically, the "drag to sacrifice" part. We saw players getting stuck, thinking the game was broken when, in reality, we just hadn't explained the action well enough. We’ve added further guidance to that section in this build to make sure the sacrificial area is actually clear.

Beyond the tutorial, we've focused this update on visual clarity and interface reliability. We want the descent into Hell to feel as smooth as possible.

• Tutorial (Drag to Sacrifice): We added further guidance to that section to make the requested action and mechanic clearer.

• Pull Rates & Variety: We updated the pull rates for Canones and Reliquiae to ensure more variety between your runs.

• Edit Regiones Fix: Resolved several bugs that were preventing the Edit Regiones screen from functioning correctly. You should now be able to organize your descent without fighting with the UI.

• Demo Progress Bar: We added a bar at the end of the run to show how much of the total demo content you have seen so far. This is to let you know there is more to discover beyond a single run.

• Text & Localization: Added a toggle for Latin terms in the options. We've also started refining the keyword colors/bolding to make the UI less cluttered (though we're still hunting down a few stray bold tags!).

• Audio & Atmosphere: Added new audio cues for Canones and fixed a bug where dialogue audio would loop indefinitely after closing an event.

• Mist Behavior: We’ve refined the rules for how the Mist appears on the battlefield.

• Visuals & Polish: Added a new "Descent into Limbo" animation for the start of a run, updated the Canon entry animations, and fixed the failure animation for Canones. We also updated several icons for Reliquiae, refreshed the game logo, and cleaned up various UI popups.

• Technical Fixes: We fixed a bug where spamming the "Skip" button on dialogue caused issues, and your settings/options will now actually save between sessions.

We also added direct buttons for our Discord and Wishlist to the home screen. If you find a bug or just want to tell us that a specific Enemy is ruining your life, come hang out with us there.

We’re currently tracking a few issues that we hope to squash in the next build:

• Reliquia Behavior: Some Reliquiae aren't behaving exactly as their descriptions suggest, and a few are appearing twice in a single run.

• Visual Glitches: You might notice some minor flickering (like a brief multiplier on enemy cards), Canones glitch in the Edit Regiones screen, or UI frames with tiny pixel offsets.

• The Ugolino Event: Still some layering issues with empty Regiones that need sorting.

While we polish the current demo, the team is already hard at work on the next circle of development. Here is what you can expect soon:

• Smarter Suffering: We are currently overhauling the Enemy AI and difficulty scaling to ensure the challenge feels fair but punishing.

• The Post-Mortem: We're building a proper End Run Screen that will feature a full recap and detailed stats of your journey through the abyss.

• Localization & Balance: We are preparing to bring the game to more languages! Alongside this, we are re-evaluating the power levels of various Canones and Reliquiae while deepening the narrative keypoints throughout the run.

• Lower Circles: Deep in the workshop, we are already crafting the future layers of Hell. We'll have more to share on these new environments in future updates.
