Hey everyone! Another update is live. We’ve been working on making the learning process a bit smoother and finally adding the highly requested American English option. Here’s what’s new:

Main Menu Refresh: We’ve given the main menu a fresh coat of paint with a slightly revised appearance.

New Hint System: Added a hint button to the Pick/Type challenges! If you're stuck, just click it to reveal the words in the sentence you aren't familiar with yet (easy mode shows all of them).

Smoother Speak Interface: We’ve given the Speak functionality a little tune-up, so it should feel much snappier and more intuitive to use.

Fixed some small bugs to keep everything running smoothly.

Thanks for all the feedback—keep it coming!

Settings?

Is there a way to access the settings while in the beginning of the story? I want to do a spoken quest, and it doesn't seem like I can adjust anything yet. Do I have to keep going until I 'unlock' the settings? How do I access settings in-game?

Typing via IME

Could you please implement being able to just type with an IME? Nobody, is typing sēnlín - you would just type senlin and pick the one you need from your IME. Would be nice to be able to either do that for pinyin (option to ignore tonation markers) or to directly write stuff like senlin as 森林. Also... would LOVE to see traditional chinese being an option - would even pay for a DLC for that....

Microphone Not Working

Anybody know how to get the game to work with their microphone? It has a speaking option but when I click "record" I get an error saying "Microphone not detected". I looked through the game and couldn't find a microphone setting in the main menu. I checked my computer's settings and it isn't showing the game application as an application to ensure it has access to the microphone, nor to block it. Not sure what is going on nor how to fix it....

Minor bug with fairy gates

Hey, loving the game so far, but found a bug with the fairy gates. The sentence they say often does not match what needs to be entered to unlock the gate, and the speaker icon to repeat the sentence continues to say the wrong sentence Hoping this can be patched...
