Pit Pioneers has launched!

The full version of Pit Pioneers is now available on Steam! Take command of a group of fearless pioneers and guide them through the depths of a mysterious underground world.

What Awaits Below

Deep beneath the surface, something stirs. Across 50+ hand-crafted levels spanning four distinct environments, pioneers must dig, drill, bridge, and blast their way through increasingly dangerous terrain to uncover the truth.

7 Unique Abilities

Dig through earth, drill through crystal, build bridges and ramps, float over danger, blow up obstacles, or stop pioneers in their tracks.

3 Distinct Environments

Journey from underground caves through glittering crystal caverns and a treacherous lava chasm to a mystery deep below.

Lava pits, fire streams, falling boulders, and precarious drops stand between the pioneers and their goal.

Demo Update 1.4.4 - Bug Fixes

This patch includes bug fixes for the demo.

Bug Fixes

Fixed dig ability not stopping when digging through stacked crystal tiles.
Fixed crystal tiles appearing on the wrong tilemap layer in "Brittle business".

Demo Update 1.4.3

Demo Update 1.4.3

This update brings together all improvements since version 1.3.0, including a better ability assignment, UI polish, and many bug fixes.

What's New

Arrow keys can now be used to select pioneers for quicker and more precise ability assignment.
Pioneer selection has been replaced with a direction filter, making it easier to assign abilities to the right pioneer.
Ability buttons now show visual deny feedback (shake and flash) when clicking a depleted ability.
A "Time's Up" message is now displayed when the level timer expires.
Pioneers with abilities now render above other pioneers for better visibility.
Boulders no longer fall during the level countdown.
Improved smoke particles and explosion effects.
Improved tutorial text clarity for levels with multiple entrances.
Multiple level rebalances and visual improvements.

Bug Fixes

Fixed ability button staying visually raised after assigning its last use.
Fixed an error sound playing when clicking pioneers with no ability selected.
Fixed overlapping pioneers receiving multiple abilities from a single click.
Fixed the Play button activating on level hover instead of click.
Fixed level select panel not receiving focus correctly when re-entering.
Fixed game speed not resetting when quitting to the main menu.
Fixed crystal chain reactions continuing during pause.
Fixed rendering order so falling pioneers without chute appear in front of those with chute.
Fixed incorrect capitalization of ability names in dialogue and translations.
Fixed keycode values for pan controls in input configuration.

If you are a fan of Lemmings, this most surely will scratch that itch! That said, this is not a cheap carbon-copy of Lemmings, Pit Pioneers has it's own look-and-feel and atmosphere. The level design in genius and many levels take many attempts to get it right. Considering the very low price of the game, this comes highly recommended!
