I enjoy the inventory-battler genre and this is an instant classic for me even as a native English speaking/reading [accuracy=questionable] WEEB.NET that learned one of my interests has the formal name of Wuxia thanks to this game.

So, technically = educational (so long as an American is ignorant. Market considered stable though.)

Have you ever wondered what Tetris would be like if you had all the time in the world but only four choices and a finite grid? Well, wonder no more with the help of the helpful game constraint of [BACKPACK] that humans across cultures seem to respond to with a kind of understanding of that, so long as not "rushed," can be a very satisfying tangram meditation given narrative using the concept of [STUFF] that goes into one's grid.

I couldn't begin to say if it is balanced, but I say that about most Excel spreadsheets I have thrown at me by my foes in real life. So, the fantasy holds true in game.

This game, however, has actual narrative built into the process. Maybe that's thanks to the modular writing style that is the foundation that this modular storytelling is cultivated from or my willingness, as a fan of the mechanics, to fill in those blanks in a way that is far more satisfying than just trying to get all the numbers to go big.

I think that any work of art about violent conflict that also includes the compassion of Buddha as a learnable martial arts skill is worthy of attention. It's swell I've yet to meet this "The Buddha" on the path to Mt. Soul-Selfie.Destination because I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to kill him. Then it's just more killing and, like, it seems like a hassle. Plus, I can't reliably win against the probably still mostly programmers' builds when I'm not necessarily understanding everything about the information that it the translation is really trying hard to try providing me.

I have complicated feelings about the ["EVIL"devil.emoji] characters being a gender-swapped devadatta, a "taylor swift" type girl who is just a bad cook, shinobi.girl-variant & a twink finally so skinny he levitates.

Oh, and Basic Girl Model-Type A1 is the ["GOOD"western.angel.emoji] female character for team Trad Fragrant Jelly.

Since on one hand -- not great optics. On the other, the villains are always very appealing and I don't know how anyone would generate interest in team Yang.Sun.Bros.Being.Bros but I don't mind missing out on some paths.

I hope people will indeed at least give it a try. I hope that any success they might find turns into a more varied musical soundtrack but it definitely is the easiest to hear 50 times compared to other franchises of this category.

It's a ambitious and sprawling imagining of this genre that I hope will capture more imaginations. The creators deserve recognition for the clear hard work that stayed well within the side of "charming" v. "jank" scale for me.

It felt nice to feel immersed in something much larger than myself without feeling overwhelmed or outside of the enjoyment to be found within it. I implore any who may struggle with some of the text to view it as a roleplaying experience.

Most real world "manuals" for this sort of ideology is equally difficult to understand even in the languages that it was penned in because you try to explain how your breath becomes a fist of fire metaphorically .... but also kind of for real. So, just follow the vibes and I really do think it will bring a whole new crop of people into the possibilities of a genre this is for sure a heartfelt love letter to.

Engaging backpack battle with enough simplicity to get started easily, but enough complexity to the battle to keep it interesting. Each fighter does best with equipment and playstyle geared to their unique traits. Recommend as a relaxing low stress battler.
