Was it unplayable before or what? From 10 players to 9k.

I made it through the mines and got the fire key and entered the door using it. I realized it was a boss fight and decided to go back to town to get potions and such and when I returned the door was relocked. I killed the enemy holding the key and it shows I picked it up but its not in my inventory and when I try to open up the door again it's still locked. Can anyone help?...

i went into the well but after the text field for the controls appeared i couldn't walk anymore...can somebody help me?
