Day 1 Hotfix (v1.0.1)

Hello Crawling Gamers, this is just a quick hotfix to address some issues players are encountering.

Specifically this hotfix addresses an issue where the Act Menu would disappear after unlocking it. This fix also includes a quick pass through the game to handle any easy optimization before diving into deeper fixes and optimization in coming patches.

Patch Notes:

Upon entering Uncle Tontine’s final dialogue the Act Select Menu is unlocked in a way that should no longer allow it to become deactivated upon restarting the game.
Removed any and all Debug Logs that could potentially effect performance on some PCs.
Removed many disabled objects once they are no longer needed rather than keeping them disabled.

In the coming days expect larger and more in-depth patches addressing further optimization and expanding and refining the triggers for various riddles. Our goal is to remove any oversights that may prevent a player who is attempting the correct solution of a riddle from achieving it. Additionally we will be pruning any unintended or illogical riddle solutions that have arisen unintentionally.

Thank you so much for a great launch and apologies if you have encountered any issues. I'm working on any and all issues as soon as I can!

What Next?

We will be spending some time on post-launch support for Crawling Angels, specifically patching in some 2 additional speed-run related achievements, speed-running related options, quality of life features such as hotkeys and a few other odds and ends that we couldn't justify squeezing into the release crunch. When that is said and done Autumn (Crawling Angel's Programmer) will immediately return to Clown Meat refactor some of the games larger systems with her improved knowledge base from working on Crawling Angels. Talia will be taking a brief detour to help a team of Brutal Orchestra modders turned developers with the final touches on a secret remake of one of her older games that they have been crafting from the ground up (literally and figuratively...)

We know the Clown Meat will be both technically and creatively improved from our time spent working on Crawling Angels. Be sure to toss it a Wishlist so you don't miss out! ːGospelː

I feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genius when i figure out one of the puzzles. Right click or Escape button to exit menus would be a wonderful QOL upgdate!

the iconic air of mystery and weirdness, yet solemn comfort that talia and autumn always bring is on full swing in this game via one of the most emotionally profound trips that virtual buddy can offer.
do not look into this game at all. play the demo. if you remotely like the demo, get the game. i had the gift of going straight into it the second it released and hunkering down until it was over.
absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beautiful. nothing in the world quite like it, nor will there ever be anything like it.

I just finished this game, and WOW it's great! Another banger from by far my favorite indie developer right now. The writing is super tight and everyone on the voice cast did a fantastic job. It's dripping with atmosphere and has a very poignant story that was always surprising me up until the very end. It went in a direction you don't see very often and touched on some very delicate subjects, but I think it definitely pulled it off with the grace required to make it work. The gameplay itself was good, (it reminded me a lot of little inferno so if you liked that game you'll love this) but I felt it started to drag near the middle and especially the end. The puzzles sometimes felt obtuse and occasionally buggy, although their names are very pun-y and I liked that a lot. The games took me like 3 hours to beat but that might be a slow time because I'm a little dumb. Overall, it's a great game that's really worth the money. Please give it a try and support ItsTheTalia. Can't wait for Clown Meat to release. (play the Clown Meat demo too if you haven't its fantastic)

Stuck on some riddles!!

There's been some real tricky riddles so far but I found these to be the trickiest, so if anyone could spare some hints I'd appreciate it! -Leprechaun's Bounty (the one item I'm confident I need is the money and maybe some kind of gun with the bounty part? but I've come up with nothing) -The power of Christ compels you! (bible most obviously, but that's about all I got) -Ouija Board Games (eehhh chess pieces? Idk)...
